I managed to fix the bad coils , but now the base is flooded again, idk what to do anymore with this Zeus X.

Hi Tracomi.....correct me if i'm wrong :) So we are saying that you have fixed the funny taste by reducing the cotton quantity and that now you have the flooding issue again?

If that's the case then you need to try again and get the balance right...i'm no expert on RTA's and the reason is exactly what you're describing....that's why I don't buy them. Have you tried the same amount of cotton which you had before in the pics except thinning the tails considerable?

Cotton always had a wet T-shirt taste for me as it broke in. Rayon is a wick and vape medium. I just juice up a Rayon wick as soon as I install it, reassemble the tank and vape. I seldom, if ever, have a weird taste on the first vape. It does take a few hits to get full vapor production, though. That's probably the wicking settling in as heat makes it conform to the coil.

One suggestion. First, understand this is opinion not fact. I'm not a fan of cotton bacon. Get a bag of plain old KGD or even just Muji cotton. A big bag is maybe $10 on Amazon. If it doesn't dve the problem no big loss. If it's better tasting or even neutral compared to cotton bacon you saved yourself a whole lotta money
