OK, I wasn't going to bring this up here, but I am not sure what else to do.

I recieved my first GGTS yesterday from COV. First let me say what a thing of beauty the mod is. I also received an Ithaka from the classifieds - that is one of the most amazing pieces of engineering I have ever seen. Major Kudos to Imeo!

Anyway, I set up the Ithaka, checked it on a Provari, performed spectacular.
TO make a long story short, I can't get the GGTS to fire.
I completely understand how the floating positive pin works, and checked with my Meter from the bottom of the pin to the coils of the Ithaka and connectivity is perfect.
SO I removed the Ithaka, the entire pin assembly and installed my iHybrid Synthesis which works perfect on other mods and same issue. No firing. The Sythesis basically has a GG adapter that makes the atty rest directly on the battery, so it removed another piece out of the picture. Troubleshooting 101 I guess.
I'm currently enjoying the Ithaka on a Poldiac.

I looked inside the mod to ensure the firing pin is making contact with the brass post and that looks fine.
I double checked the battery in another mod and it's fine.
I made sure the spring is seated in the firing post.
Being that its a mechanical mod, I can't imagine what else I'm missing.
I am going to check continuity from the fire button to the top of the battery when I get home later.

Any thoughts? AM I just that stupid?

Have you tried anything else besides the ithaka and synthesis? I mean if your saying that the firing pin hits the brass post, then it should just be the floating pin that might not be touching? If anything, I know you said the firing pin touches the brass post already, but I say screw the button in a little more to make it a shorter throw just to test it out. Maybe even manually move up the floating pin up while an atomizer is on and then screw the body with a battery in it. Sounds like you've tried everything but just double check. I bet its something simple.

Good luck. Let us know if you figure it out.

It was indeed the firing pin housing.

I think due to the high polish and it being only about 1mm or less from making contact, it appeared to be touching.
I didn't realize that you can adjust the switch throw. I should've checked that before posting here and I apologize for that.

Now for the single sickest looking mod in my arsenal:

No need to apologize to anybody on that front, mate :) We were all new to GGs at one point or another and either had to figure things out on our own or come here and ask questions (and I'm willing to bet that even some of the vets have asked some questions that in hindsight just made them go  ). This community is generally pretty helpful no matter how complicated or simple the solution is. The GGTS is considered an "advanced user device" so nobody is expected to be a master at it right out of the box ;-)
