Hey everyone I did research alot about this before purchasing and I figured the best was and ego 510 model was the best overall choice for a beginner. I ordered it tonight in fact.

now I have a few questions.

1) I smoke fairly heavy cigarettes and about 10-15 per day, what mg nic juice should I get? I'm guessing 24mg?

2) A 30ml bottle of nic juice should last me approx _____ days?

3) VG vs PG is one easier on your cardimizer?

4) sorry this is nab question but do i need a suringe to refill the ego?

I have a pile more questions but this will get me started anyways.

1. 24mg is a good strength to start out with. Always better to have a higher strength vs lower as you can always weaken the strength, but you can't make it stronger.

2. Most people vape 2-4ml a day. So about 10 days.

3. I think PG is easier on carto's because it isn't as thick. You will get a little better throat hit (inhaled feel) with PG over VG and PG enhances the flavor a little bit. But either should work fine.

4. No, most don't use them.

1) I smoked about a pack a day of full flavor menthols and I found that 12mg was good enough for me. If you're like me, you're going to vape more than you smoke, especially when you're just starting out. If you vape 24mg all day and have never vaped before you may feel some side effects. I actually started getting bumps on my skin and itching real bad when I first started and others have too. It's not common but be aware of it.

At some point you should consider getting some high nic juice (24-48mg) and some no nic juice (0mg) so that you can mix it to your desired nicotine level. This gives you the most flexibility and even allows you to lessen your nicotine intake over time if that's something you're interested in doing. I buy all my juice from Tasty Vapor this way but I'm sure many other suppliers offer the option as well. Other than TV you might try Backwoods Brew (BWB), Alien Visions, FreedomSmokesUSA, and Halo as they all seem to be real popular on ECF.

2) 10 days sounds about right.

3) I agree with wv2win on this and will add that you shouldn't choose PG over VG just because it may be easier on the carto. I really don't think it's going to have that big of an impact on how long your carto lasts. Your choice to go with PG, VG, or a blend should be based on the type of vape you want. VG is known to provide more vapor while PG is known to provide more throat-hit. Some people may be allergic to PG and possibly even VG. If you have any allergic reactions you may want to try 100% VG. Most people including myself blend PG and VG together. I vape 70PG/30VG.

4) No, but if you start mixing juice yourself you'll probably want one.

Great choice with the eGo. It's what I started with and has served me well for a year now.

I smoked about that, as well (just over half a pack per day). After vaping for a year I've found that some days I'll only use 2 mL of juice, others I go through almost 5. I've always gone with the 24mg stuff. I started with Blu a year back and switched to the 510s a couple months later--big improvement. I'm actually waiting for my tank to come in the mail :D

Don't be discouraged if the carts aren't what you expect! There are loads of mods you can try to make your vaping experience just right for you. Personally, I like the Pyramid tea bag or straight dripping.

Get both 18mg and 24mg. You can always go lower after you figure out what suits you best.

2) A 30ml bottle of nic juice should last me approx _____ days?

Depends....I can go through 30ml in a week easy. I would guess 2 weeks give or take.

3) VG vs PG is one easier on your cardimizer?

VG is really thick and doesn't wick as well as PG. I use a mix of 70PG/30VG if available. PG is your TH and flavor producer. VG is the vapor producer but can mute flavors.

4) sorry this is nab question but do i need a suringe to refill the ego?

If you use eGo cartomizers, yes. For most cartomizers and carts, no. Boge cartomizers are the best in my opinion. Just drip into them to refill, great flavor and vapor.

I have a pile more questions but this will get me started anyways.

Full strength cigs? Try 24mg and buy some 18mg just in case the 24mg is too much at the amount you vape (you may vape more than you smoked)

PG/VG - PG is thin and lets through the most TH, flavor and the most irritation of nicotine. For some people med or high nicotine in 100% PG leads to sore mouth, throat, lungs.
VG is thick and dulls the flavors, dulls the TH, smooths the irritation, makes more visible and persistent vapor

You could try 70pg/30vg and adjust from there or try several ratios.

re PG/VG and the atomizer - I don't think so but it is thicker. High-VG juices may need to be thinned to use in tightly stuffed cartomizer.

No syringe to fill carts, none needed to fill stuffing-type cartomizers (a few do use a curved plastic one to make it easier to place juice on the stuffing or a long metal needle one to place juice between the stuffing and inner wall, but none is needed). Reservoir-type cartomizer DO need whatever syringe they say they require.
