I don't like labels either, but distinguishing between mtl or dtl is important when trying to aid. I don't know what percentage vapes mtl compared to dtl, but It does seem most new vapors vape dtl which imo is definitely not the way most smoked cigs....I'm not saying that everyone smokes mtl, but me personally, have never seen anyone smoke a cig like the new type dtl vape method. On the other hand, that other tobacco is smoked dtl, but never seen anyone smoke cigs that way

The guys in the weld shop back in high school would dtl one hit cigs. Grab the closest torch, hold the flame to the smoke and take it like a champ. Hold it for a few secs then blow it out through the hood vent in the welding booth your in. Most of us just chewed though easier to hide and much more practical.

I can only speak for myself, but when I smoked cigarettes I inhaled them direct to lung. I would go on a smoke break with another smoker, and be able to smoke two cigs while the other person smoked just one. Then when I switched to vaping, I developed into a mouth to lung style, because that was what other vapers were practicing. It wasn't until I started rebuilding and using sub-ohm RDA's or sub-ohm clearomizers that I began DTL. Now, I can't imagine going back to a MTL draw. My perfectly good authentic Svoemesto Kayfun Lite RDA is in retirement because the draw is too tight to enjoy.

Well, that was mostly confusing.. LOL.
I have tried every way anyone wants to describe is 'the way' to do either one and still end up vaping like I smoked. I take a draw, just like on a smoke and inhale. Sometimes 1 sec after the drag is finished but most times do not take the time to notice if there is any time lag.
I understand that using these 2 'methods' verbally can help someone to understand the difference in what they are trying to get across but....Lots of mtl members says they hold in the vape before inhaling and dl members don't. That to me is the only difference in technique. seems to me something silly to be arguing about. There is no right or wrong when it comes to vaping,,,,,,as long as whatever you do keeps you off the smokes.....that is what really counts.

Who is arguing? I'm talking about helping people....it does make a difference most of the time, because most of the time if someone vapes mtl, the equipment, power, nic, resistance is totally different then someone vaping dtl. Yes it's not always separated like that as some do dtl on mtl tanks and perhaps vice versa, but 8 times out of 10, they are 2 different vaping style that need a label to help guide vapors.....not sure where the arguing thing came about

I definitely heard of people smoking that way, just never witnessed it...did you also make that sucking sound as well when smoking? Like the sound dtl vapors make sometimes?
