Hey guys brand new here but I love forums and learning! Anyway, just the other day I purchased a Atmos Optimus 510 (afaik an "untwistable" ego with a ce4). Did some research and grew to realize that there was no way to replace the wick or heads that the Optimus clearo comes with. So I googled, saw good things about the Protank 2, noticed there was a 510 thread ProTank 3 (3 must always be better than 2 right???) for sale for around the same price and bought it and it is travelling in the mail as we speak. Now looking back with more knowledge I see this was probably a mistake as, well, I am a beginning vaper, I don't have a vv mod and I have never built/done diddly with a single coil much less the double that the PT3 has.

So I guess I'm asking if running the PT3 on my little Atmos Optimus 510 (ego) battery will work out for me until this summer (about 3 months) when I'll be off from uni, working and able to buy a vv mod and a single coil rebuildable (or somewhat rebuildable atty/tank)As of right now I fancy buying the:
  • Aspire Nautilus (hard to rebuild? Good beginner tank? What do you guys think?)
  • Vamo 5 vv mod? (Honestly know nothing about mods it just seemed like a place to start)

I know that cleaning your head, dryburning the coil and rewicking every 3-4 tanks is good practice. I don't know too much about what I'm doing so tips there would also be appreciated. How often will I have to replace the coil's/heads in the PT3 using this practice? And should I even be attempting a dry burn on the PT3 once I get it with my little battery?

Long first post but I am eager to learn if you guys will but share your vast knowledge :)
Look forward to the Responses!

I absolutely hate the PT3.. I threw it away. I do however LOVE the nautilus tank and I do rebuild the coils. It's easy.. Watch Rip Trippers youtube video on how to rebuild it. I have it on my MVP2 and it's a solid hitter and my most fav backup to my mech mod. Whenever you get a burnt taste, you can take a few pulls without firing the device and it will put more juice in the wick. The stock coils for me always burnt out quickly which is why I got into rebuilding them and RDAs.

I'm on the new end of vaping myself and picked up a Vamo V5. It's been a very good device for me. It's inexpensive as far as vv vw devices go. It does have a few build issues but, for the price, I don't regret my choice.
Good to know man thanks for the info! Does anyone know how the Vamo V5 does with the Nautilus Tank?
If anything I would look for a protank mini. It won't look so much like a lollipop on a small battery. Maybe check out the evod toppers with low res 1.8 ohm coils.
Yeah I realized that as soon as I ordered it I felt like such an idiot... haha Oh well I hope to pick up a mod soon.

Does anyone have some small, low-key vv tube mod reccomendations? I'm not real big on the massive mods that double as blunt force objects (I only really vape across our, unenlightened, smoke-free/vape free campus, in my car/room and at shows) so I would like something that I can pocket and not be too large for when I'm using it. I think the V5 is pretty small with only one battery but I don't know.
Thanks for all the info guys!
