Hi I'm new to all this and am a heavy smoker. I've almost ordered v2 out of Florida cause their site makes it easy and I saw recommendations.
Browsing the forum though a new dealer caught my eye as he is based in BC near me. Checked the site and at the bottom was the fine print: contains no nicotine. Say what?
so in short how do we know how mush nicotine we get innthe various brands? The v2 site has ratings, 18 being the strongest, and says it is comparable to cig brands such as Malboro. Does this mean we get the same amount of nicotine as if we took a draw on a Malboro?
Many thanks in advance to help sort this out. It is a main criteria in choosing.

18mg is standard nic content. I started with 36 mg, it help at first but lets just say I never bought another 36mg again. I went down to 24 and that was still to much for a constant vape. I know vape 18mg as this is prefect for me. If you are tring to quit smoking at the moment then I would go higher than 18mg for sure IMO

The thing I was looking for the most when starting to vape was the buzz I got from nicotine and 36mg filled that gap temporarily but like I said before It didn't take long for me to jump down in nic levels.

Hey welcome aboard bro!

pretty new myself in the world of vaping but loving every minute of it. Been smoke free for around 3 months now, and never looked back. started vaping on 18 mg and just recently went down to 12. I live in the eastern part of canada ( montreal,qc) and over here vaporus has a brick and mortar store on st denis, nicotine range from 0 to 24 and the taste is pretty solid. Ive tried maple leaf vapes but theyre juices had a bit too much throat hit for my taste. still looking around other suppliers thought.

out of curiosity what setup do you use ?

Thanks too meushy for the welcome and good going on being smoke free! I just got my first kit in the mail and should have done like you, start at 18 mg. I got instead several tobacco flavours in 24 mg, and even though smoking 2 packs or more Rothmans/day no problem depending on how late I'm up, my ecig is making me cough a lot.
You are so lucky to be in beautiful Montreal! And near a real store. Had to buy my stuff online and chose ego-c upgrade 1000mAh for the battery life and some control over the voltage. Mostly got sold on the battery life(one of those smokers that gets pretty anxious whenever running a bit low on cigs :/) I was so stoked when it came in, but there's no instructions to speak of. The little there is doesn't really work. Next time I go to a city I'll look for an ecig store that might give me a hands on demo. Also got a kanger cartomizer that does make for a smoother draw than the stock ego ones. Not enough though, so I'm looking into higher VG content now also, and learning about mixing it up from YouTube. Wondering what you got that is working so well for you. Hope you found a liquid supplier you like. I'm going to try some from CanadaVapes. Here's to hoping . .
Edit: should mention got the Ego-C Upgrade starter kit. Being called an upgrade maybe the reason for the lack of a manual.

Welcome Zang, glad to see that you did manage to get a kit. I just wanted to mention that when I first started back in Nov - I went with 18mg. I was smoking 30+ cigarettes a day - but what used to be called mild. So - when I first started I thought the 18mg was too strong - not so much the coughing - but found it hit my mouth an throat real hard.

When I next ordered juice - I lowered the nic to 15mg - however by the time it came I was actually getting use to the 18mg and it was not bothering me as much. I continued with the 15mg and just used the 18mg when I needed a change or was having the rare thought about having a smoke.

Anyway - I think it is important to note that just like we had to get used to smoking - when we started - it may take you some time to also get use to the vapor. As well - with going smoke free - there are also a lot of withdrawal symptoms that are very confusing. Hard to sometimes know if it is the nic strenght giving you a headache - or it could be that you are not getting enough - since that too will give you a headache.

It is a good idea to try lots of different mixes with the juice. Not just the PG/VG, but the nic level and flavors too. It is a journey - but definitely a good one if it can keep you from smoking. Good luck in your journey :thumb:
