Thanks everybody! Nico you mean brass balls? I do have some. :)

One on this mod, one on another and two in the sack still, much like these:

Amazon.com: Westinghouse #70660 4PK 3/8" Brass Ball: Home Improvement

They make a nice replacement for my knurled nuts! :D

For a vid we'll have to see.... Also need a pic showing it next to something for a size comparison, these pics are for detail and there is stuff I didn't see before.

That is super cool.....and steampunk to the bone.

When I was a watchmaker I repaired hundreds of those. Want me to see if I have that missing rachet wheel and screw?

Thanks for the all the complements!

Para, sure thing if you think it would work again, I'd likely need the screwdriver too :p I've got a second movement that is more complete and runs for about a minute (not timed) but has no face or hands. Unfortunately it is too big to fit in there, are parts interchangeable between makes and models?

Unflipping believably beautiful!

It's work like this that is not only inspiring, but also a little depressing (when I compare it to my attempts!).

IMO it's really too bad that ECF doesn't set up an easy way for a modder to sell a handful (i.e. <1 per month) of mods per year. Put something like this up in an auction setting and I'd bet it'd fetch a pretty penny!

Mike, I wouldn't sell as for one thing I'd have to attach a value to my time for something I enjoy spending time on and it wouldn't be fair. You did peg my production speed pretty well, <1 per month :)

Ah but that'd be the beauty of an auction! YOU wouldn't have to price your time, the bidders would! Something unique and one of a kind like this I imagine would get a pretty good price as there's many vapers who collect and nobody else would have one just like it!

The "1 per month" timeframe was simply a way to seperate the hobbists from the suppliers/manufacturers. Nobody would be able to make a living selling only one mod per month and so it's a way to allow some sells while still protecting the interests of the suppliers. Who knows, if hobbists were allowed a few sales, I maybe coulda spent the last 2 years vaping a mAhmba! And maybe I'd have a genuine original Asdaq!
