Brass RM2......Brass Button Cover...

A fellow Reonaut asked if I could make a brass button cover. Well since since the button & button cover are delrin, I thought metal on delrin might be trickier for a friction fit. Could have took an easier route but I was up for the challenge. I sure won't be making these often, had to hold a tolerance of 2 tenth of a thousandths.


Here's what I came up with to match the grooves on the RM2.

While I was at it, made another style.

Those are awesome man !!! I was just thinking about stripping my RM2 and getting a brass drip tip but that button cover looks way better than a brass tip. Great work !

I wanted a brass button for mine so I ordered one off Amazon to glue to the Delrin button but yours is ten times better.

VERY nice DZ! How much extra trouble would it be to knurl the angled surface between the top & side of the button? Just curious because thats where my thumb lands when I swipe the button before a toot. Are you planning to market these? Is a copper one a possibility?
