I should have titled this "breaking in my mouth to the taste of a new juice" but hit wasn't catchy enough.

Actually that however, is exactly the sentiment I wished to express. I have been nuc vaping (to carry on from a great thread started tonight) since 1 june and have discovered that contrary to my first experience with Dekang RY4 which was dam good (at the time) getting into more complex and higher quality juice I notice my palette becoming more discriminating.

Now that I'm doing huge amounts of Jugheads its not love at first vape it takes a while, 5 mls to appreciate / discover and come to love some juices. Once "discovered" it is a treat.

One juice I have been having trouble with is "milk chocolate" I think it actually tastes as though the milk sat out on the counter for a bit too long.

Any views on "breaking in your mouth to a new juice"?

I agree! I have tried a variety of flavours from Jugheads. I let it steep and then try it and think, "not too sure I really like that one." Then as my supplies dwindle, I try that flavour again and think it's actually not too bad, and then really start to like it.

I believe your taste buds have to warm up to the flavours, and also think that having a preconceived idea of how a flavour will or should taste has something to do with it too.

But of course there are still some flavours that just turn me off right away. Organic Black Currant is one of those. I love black currant, but the flavour just doesn't taste right and I don't think I can vape it. But I'll probably pull it out again sometime in the future and try it again.

Juggies flavours so far that I didn't like a first but now do:
- Organic Blueberry Lemonade
- Swedish Pastry Plus
- Wild Honey Badger

What?! Jugheads no longer has RY4? That's exactly what happened to me. I tried it when I first got it, didn't like, went back to it two months later, and vaped the whole bottle in two days. Too bad they don't make it any more.
I think that isthisidused had a good point about having preconceived ideas about a juice flavour. I've had a few where my expectation was for something to taste a certain way, and when it didn't I was disappointed. Although after vaping it for a while realized that I liked the flavour notwithstanding my expectation. So in response to the OP, I think that it is a mixture of both steeping and getting accustomed to what a flavour actually tastes like.
