We are reading this thread to mourn the passing of the only eGo Mega atty I had. It lived for about a week, before going cold in my warm lips. It was a good one while it lasted, and I miss it already.

Now, I know I have seen some threads about bringing an atty back to life. What are some of the things used to attempt a resurrection? I've already cleaned it, but it's still as cold as my ex wife.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the mega a LR atty? It sucks that it only lasted a week, but isn't this to be expected? Or are there ways to keep LR atty's from burning out too soon?

Where'd you get it from? Could it be the supplier's fault?

Save it for when you get a VV and try it on a higher v until it comes back to life, and take it off immediatly? Just a guess, not a recommendation.

I don't have any plans, at this time for a VV, but have ordered a real 5V. I've notifed the vendor, and if they won't replace it, it will go on the 5V, and I will see if it comes back to life. Looking at it under a magnifying glass, with a strong light, I couldn't see anything wrong with the dearly departed.
