So I should waste time posting safety info to someone who doesn't see the point in it? OH no I'm supposed to post the info so he can build something dangerous WITHOUT any thought of safety, sorry for thinking that keeping people safe is important while still having enough sense to know that some people won't listen to anything.
I promise to get a frontal lobotomy before I become a veteran because that's the only way I could use such ridiculous logic.

3 veterans all supporting bad practices and not 1 non veteran supporting them what does that tell you?

I can't even follow what you're arguing at this point, seems you just want to play the victim, when you're the one pushing the aggressive attitude.

We get it, you didn't like Ryedan calling out your USELESS first post in this thread, then turned it into a crusade against, apparently now, all ECF veterans.

Attacking ECF veterans(besides me) is COMPLETELY UNCALLED FOR, i'm still trying to find ANYWHERE in this thread that ANYONE directly 'attacked' you.

We'll have to wait and see if you're even still around/active when next year rolls around, then we'll start discussing that lobotomy...believe it or not, i hope you are.

Norrin..
When I posted (requoted) xtwosmokes funny star trek gif it was more in agreement with the cause for concern over the op's original post.

It sets off just about all of the alarm bells and whistles anyone could imagine. I don't and didnt intend for you to take my posting it as any form of attack on you at all.

The massive headache illustrated in the star trek gif is like I said..."a picture is worth a thousand words" a true description of what ran through the minds of 99.9% of the vapers reading that op post including my own.

Have a vape...all is well here :)_~

Then sorry for associating you with the other 2 who just can't understand that, although my post wasn't helpful, their posts were downright irresponsible.

I feel your pain norrin. Dont let it get to your head though. look at your last statement...right in the middle where it says "although my posts wasn't helpful" <-- right there. Now you might see why the thread went off in a tangental angle. I've found the hard way around various internet forums that sometimes when you give criticism, you are bound to receive criticism. Gotta stay helpful lest get pounced on for being "unhelpful". Then it usually goes astray as people start trying to explain what they're trying to explain. I dont think Rydan and others can be faulted for pointing out the vape towel posts etc that really werent helpful.

I really like my 3/23"id, 26ga, 5wrap parallel, dual coil. .2ohm badass. I am aware that it pushes my VTC4s and purple efest 35amps close to their limits. Thats fine, since im not cheeefin on it like human fog machine.

One piece of advice I have not heard, is 'dont chain vape the crap out of it!' Its one thing to make a sub ohm build with a battery that will BARELY handle it. Its another to push that battery to its venting point.

Far too many people want to blow clouds today. New vapers are exposed to subohming way too early in their experience with ecigs. I was in the local vape shop and one of the guys who work there was blowing clouds (He's become a friend through my visits to the shop) I asked him what resistance coils he was winding these days. His answer was, ".1 to .5 ohms". Then, he looked at me and laughed and said, "I know. I'm going to blow myself up one day!". I laughed and said, "Maybe not! You know what you are doing and you know about batteries and current load ranges".

It's true that he knows what he's doing. He can do rough wattage and amperage in his head and can tell you (accurately) about the specs on all the batteries in the showcase. The owner and I were having a conversation about cloud blowing and she told me that in her other store she had to install an expensive exhaust fan to keep the clouds down. People are coming in with low ohm cloud blowers and freaking out her starter customers.

She does have her priorities straight, though. She doesn't allow her employees to wind coils for customers. They will give them an information package that contains all the safety information and procedures for winding coils. They brief the customer on the pitfalls of mech vaping and explain battery safety and mech safety when they give them the package.

It's impossible to make people not do dangerous things. It's possible to inform them if they are willing to read and listen to advice. Too many vape shops appear to be encouraging high amp vaping. It's apparently what the people want.

this thread was a circus show up until this statement.

This is what we are failing to realize. DESPITE what general vaping discussion may say, more and more people want clouds. now.

Op is going to do what they're going to do ( or may have already done so!). If i knew this person in real life, i would reccommend not doing so and why. However this is the internet, they came in asking for help (the intention to do it right was there), and they were ridiculed.

maybe this is why batteries are exploding.

I think ECF plays a monumental role in educating new vapers. Battery safety is a big deal here and there are people all over ECF who spot new people who are about to dive into sub ohming and give them the info they need to know. If someone posts about a potential dangerous battery activity and appears not to understand, that's an education opportunity we can seize.
