No big loose the 510 supplied is crap nothing sits flush a FD is way better and for the money well worth it

Thanks! I figured. I ruined my connector trying to press it in. so ordered a fat daddy one. Not happy right now. Have you gotten your boxes from them. what are you usung for the 510?

I'm using a 510 from madvapes that I had in stock...fairly good sealed 510.... on the fat daddys 510 (spring loaded) you will have to drill and tap the box to get it to work or modify the box by cutting away some of the thickness where the 510 fits...

Yep........ground the case...

dna ground are common. You can use the supplied brass ring around the fatdaddy 510 for ground.

I just don't like the fact that it's not going to be flush with the box. Due to the landing pad.

I just mite But think it will look a lot cleaner if I can tap the enclosure and once the FD 510 is threaded in it's going to hold just as good as the retain nut and brass washer will IMO

The 510 hole sits too close to the center divider.

That don't bother me, the spring loaded 510 allows an atty to sit flush. I hate the gap when an atty don't sit flush. When I put my KFL+ on my authentic Hana it has the gap, even with the drip well you can see it

I just don't like the fact that it's not going to be flush with the box. Due to the landing pad.

Once I get all my tools and stuff from Amazon, and get started on this, I'll try and do a build sequence for others to use as either a good way of doing it, or an example of what not to do, LOL

Not sure if I assembled the stock 510 connection right.. Looks kinda wobbly and the insulator does not fit inside the hole of the 510.



Also, did anyone try forcing the 510 inside hole, using a hammer or with a pair of pliers?

Yes I did. I ended up damaging the connector.

Just so you and everyone knows, until I get mine and dry fit everything, I've taken this off the "For Sale" list.

If mine needs any modifications to work properly, I'll send you a PM with what it took to remedy the issues. I'll then correct the 3D model and upload the updated version to shapeways.com and post back here with the new link

The supplied 510 will fit once a little of the anodising has been removed - you can use a small piece of wood to protect the connection then hammer it in - it's a similar process to hitting the top cap back on a Provari.
