Cool...my handle in lights. too bad this might be my 15 seconds of fame. I anxiously await it being offered for sale.

Just one note...there's 1 too many "]" in that link. ;) although that didn't stop me from finding it. Thanks!

moresalt, ;) Sorry, I had to do real stuff today, but I've finally double-checked, adjusted, and uploaded the updated moresalt cradle. I've increased the the side clip heights by a total of 1.5mm, which I think will make it a whole lot easier to run your wires between the board and the cradle.

If you'd like to beta-test the cradle, let me know and I'll open it up for you. But please remember, it is a beta, which inherently comes with risks :)

Sorry to intrude but what software are you using to produce these parts?

Besides finding a great cradle that I plan to use in my mod, I've discovered the concept of shapeways which would have come handy years ago when I spent days programing a hobby cnc to produce one or two parts that I've could have done in a couple of hours if that company existed (and I would know about it)

I used that to design a base for my fish tank (300L).

Never tried it for small pieces though. Thanks for the info.

One day when my kids FINALLY grow up a little, I might return to my life hobby (rc sail planes and helis) and this will become really really handy for producing servo trays and other parts.

Among my collection, I have a 30 year old glider that was offered to me by a dear friend. It's worth nothing but has a sentimental value to me. Unfortunately, the canopy is broken and no replacement is available (obviously). I have been thinking into making my own through vacuum process but it's messy and requires some investment. Making a 3D model would be an awesome alternative :)

Back to topic: my mini hana is still in transit. Once it arrives, I'm going to measure the inside Bay to see if your cradle fits this version :)

There's this one but it's out of stock right now
Authentic YiHi SXmini 60W/120W Chip!

Thanks, Steamer861... I'm really looking at something 20-30W. A genuine DNA 40 will be more than enough for my high-power needs. I'm also looking for something 20ish watts to replace the dead board in my iStick. But my second box I just purchased will probably get a 30W chipset. Just not sure which one yet but would like to keep it under $40.

Tony,

Tangent - my kids are in their teens, one is in college, and it is nice to finally have a little more me time to do what I like. My youngest son received a heli last year for Christmas, but lost the wall charger before I got a chance to try it, so I recently ordered a new charger and new 3.7V battery for it. I can't wait to play with it :)

On Topic - I've seen pics of the mini with the DNAx in it, and for it to fit, it has to be installed in on an angle. So I have a feeling that a cradle is not doable :( But I'll wait for further info from you before I call it :)

I just saw questions about wow Guage fire the dna switches, I just thought I'd add that on one of my DNA40s I used the wires out of telephone cable, worked great, cones with 6 or 8 different colors. Here's part of my wiring job..:

After you get hooked and start considering a second mortgage on the house to keep your new hobby, we'll talk again :D

About the dna: yeah, I just went through a lot of pics of mini hana's and you're right. They all are mounted at an angle... I'm screwed.

I'll report back when I get the mod.

Thx for the heads up

tchavei, I'm sorry, I wish I could have helped more with your mini build :(

For me, the whole reverting to a kid comes in waves. I guess surfs up, LOL! :)

DNA30 all put together...well I have to glue in the charger but everything else is done. Having the wires underneath the DNA makes it a bit cleaner, but boy is that a PITA to get the wires the right length!

moresalt, SWEET! Nice job.

Just curious, what's the difference. I have a SX350 board in my homebuilt mod. It might as well be a 20 watt mod because I rarely, if at all, run it any higher. I feel that if the board fits where I want to use it it's good.
