Ok I totally get the doubler thing now, thank you If I don't want 24mg (seems high to me) I can just add MORE doubler then right?

The atomizers, yes I have a couple going and can see that I'll probably need one just purely for cinn flavors. I hadn't even thought of menthol! I do have some arctic menthol or something...plus my own menthol here but again wasn't sure how to mix it. I have both liquid and crystals for menthol. And is it just plain menthol in nic juice? or how's it normally done?

Lbug, that would be awesome if you'd send me a few of your recipes I can't wait.

Keyz, darn it...I was hoping you'd say it was just as similar to use lr + riva as it is to 5v hehe I can't buy me a 5v yet! Soon, I hope. I wish there was someone close that I could "try" their 5v LOL its such a big expense right out without even trying it.

Menthol: I add one crystal (crushed with a mortar and pestal) to a few of my juices. It gives it a light fresh taste. If it's the Koolada liquid, I also use that one sometimes.. and I'll add about 1 or two drops to a recipe (depending on bottle size)

5v: just pick up a 306 atty.. Much cheaper, and it will fit on a 510 threading. Do you have an ego batt? (or riva, tornado, etc)

I had the same problem with taste and here is what worked for me.
I thought about my old smoking habit and realized that I was smoking about one cigarette an hour. 10 hits. Anytime I finished one and immediately lit another I couldn't taste it. Wait about an hour and bingo back to normal. Vaping is a bit different in that you have it lit 24/7. It is very easy to overdo it.
Now I take 4 or 5 vapes and don't have another for about 20 minutes. Stays very consistent for me.
Another suggestion would be for you to get a variable volt PV so that you can zero in on taste with each liquid.

I mixed up the AC, 1 part AC 48mg to 2 parts doubler which should give me 16mg. I can taste it Its weird though it doesn't seem to have as much TH as I'd like or expect it to. 16mg is right around what I normally vape too, usually I can't taste it but have plenty of TH lol Something must be wrong with me or my math I'll try to mix it at higher nic (maybe just go with the 24mg) and see what happens.

Its like one of those things, I want all the stars aligned and perfect. Taste, vapor, throat hit...and theres always one of the three missing! Usually the taste. What is going on?! Doesn't cinn stuff usually have MORE throat hit just because of the cinn?

I hope I'm not being a pain, I'm at the end of my vaping rope!

Lyn, try it at equal parts ac nic and ac doubler to get you to 24mg. More nicotine can give you more of a throat hit. You can even try it at 30mg or 36mg using the online calculator to figure out how much of each

Try Lois' suggestion. Vape at a higher nic level on the AC.. that will give you more of a TH. The biggest TH I ever had was on a sample of some DIY Flavorshack's XX level (not sure what the xx stood for, but I'm guessing it was powerful stuff!) It was the only jucie that ever made me cough.

To simulate a 5volt.. you can use a 306 (or 306 compatible) atty on an Ego/Riva size batt. This is supposed to give you the 5v feeling without actually using a 5v!

Low resistance atty's will *kinda* simulate 5v vaping in the vapor and better hit department, but the heat...you need 5 or 6v to get the heat.

I went through all the things you did, too. I found that a true 5V mod hits the spot the best, although I find that a nice minty vape on a LR510 atty really does it also. I used 24 or 36mg vaporstation Frost (well not anymore) with an Ego and it is truly satisfying. That and vaporstation Frisco on a 5V mod is the other really satisfying vape. It's supposed to be tobacco with hazelnut, but it's a flavor I can use all the time and not get sick of. I'm just really bummed that they don't make zero mg. For me, I got a cheap 5V box mod at first. You can get them a couple places like madvapes and indyvaporshop.

Just don't give up, a lot of other vapers have gone through the exact same thing. It's just finding the perfect combination for you.

I think I'd like minty, I should see what I have here and give it a try. I could actually TASTE the AC but after vaping it for a couple hours I got sick of it lol I'm back to my Sweet Tarts which I can't really taste but at least has a TH. At the very least I have to have that.

Just going to have to do a ton of experimenting and bide my time until I can try out a 5v.

Ohh and OMG congratulations on the baby news I saw it in the other thread and just hadn't replied yet. That is really awesome! I always get giddy when I hear others are pregnant. I loved being pregnant! I have 5 kids, so I must hehe

Have you tried a passthru? Cheap way to try 5V without buying a mod. Make sure you get one without a battery inline that cuts it down to 3.7V.

I know lots of othes have said it, but the "I can't taste anything this week" is something we all go through. It sux but it'll pass.

No, I haven't. Can't really invest any more money right now into vaping, I've spent a ton already. I'll keep it in mind though. I got a pt through treasure chest a long time ago but it has battery inline and its never worked anyway. Plug it in and it just doesn't do anything at all.

I want to taste things again! lol I did taste the AC, after a couple hours though I got sick of the cinnamon hehe I know...apparently I'm picky /sigh

The PT with inline battery may not work just because the battery is flat-line, needs to build a base charge (don't try using it until it has been plugged in for a while), thought that won't give you 5V.

If you want to try a true PT, I can loan my spare 808 PT -- no rush on how soon it comes back, I have one each in my car and at work so this really is a spare. I'll include a couple empty cartos.

When my tastebuds die, I use either DIY menthol or peppermint.

It is a true pass through, runs at usb voltage, typically just slightly under 5.
For a loan I can also toss in a 5v usb ac power supply. True 5v, 2000 ma -- you can use down to 2.5 ohm cartos on it; I use 2.6 on it at work once in a while, but find 3 and 3.3 ohm a bit nicer.
