The vaporetc cartos are the hard top style, they dont sell the soft cap cartos?

Mick, we've been, errr... discussing this model for the past month here, in this thread. Would be nice if you read a bit... back... This is one of the several versions of the 4081 cartomizer we've been testing here (the SLB 510 is exactly the same inside, different thread pattern).

The V4L Premium cartos perform GREAT! -BUT- burn in less than a day... Cool cartos dont produce enough vapor... BOGE 510s dont have enough throat hit... SLB 510s didn't last me half an hour...

Am I too picky?
Should I try the SS 4081 cartos? Should I try the RoyalSmokers (I guess thats still a shot in the dark...)

-OR- Should I just give up on finding my perfect carto? as Mick and EDO have suggested. Should I just buy prefilled Cartos and toss em when they run dry? Start looking into drip tips?

I am at a Serious Crossroads here... I could use a nudge in the right direction.

I don't know what to tell you, Salt, because I've been very pleased with the Turbos, the CoolCarts from V4L, the SLB 510 from IkenVape and with the 4081 cartos, all of them; Trueman's, Good Prophets', and, as of today, SmokeStik's (more on that later). Maybe cartos aren't your thing at all.

Mick, all I meant to say was that this carto had been a subject of a prolonged probe here, and your post sounded like you were not aware of it. I apologize if I misunderstood it.

Of course we can discuss it, we should discuss it. The more people share their experience with us here, the more we know and everybody benefits. So, was your experience with them the same as ours? How do you like them?

mick, did you get 808 cartos that have the coil in them instead of the straight wire? Call me excited!! Please say yes! And if yes, what ones did you order exactly to get those. Want to make sure I get the right ones

Salt, the 4081s are the same style build as the SLB 510s. I have no idea about the Royal Smoker ones so can not say on those.

I use to burn every carto I used in less than a day. Then I stopped using them and went to dripping. 2.5 months later I tried some of the new 510 cartos that came out and have been doing fine with them since. I don't know if the break alone did it, if the dripping did it, if the cartos being made different did it or what. All I know is now I can use them. I have even used a couple of the Boge 510s and didn't burn them, plus had luck with the Turbo cartos, the V4L CoolCartos and the 4081 cartos. Maybe you just need to take a break from cartos then try them again in a couple months. Sorry I can not be of more help.

Personally, I do think you should give SS a try, I believe you will be happy with them.

I'd bet the SLB 808s have a brass (although in reverse) thread. I guess we could call the 'other' 4081 style (SS, GP) Boge? They DO have silver threads after all. It makes sense that SLBs would come in 808 too.

For Yankee and Lori... I used my SS carto for 8 days and am getting ready to break out my second one. It technically was still working good, but I can't wait any longer to see how it looks inside

Well, congratulations to you, Mick. I've never seen any kr808s with the guts of a 4081...

And yes, I've read some of your previous posts, mate.

EDIT: sorry I thought they had the attys for the KR8 but I was mistaken. I sure would like to find some though!
Also the DSE103 is the same as a 4081 thread wise so you can use the external bridge atty for the 103 on your 4081 batteries for dipping

I see also the Ben at Vapornine has a new batch of Turbos on the way with some design changes...he's testing them right now. Better caps and some internal changes that are supposed to help with the burning issue. I also passed the Royal Smokers link on to Ben in case he wants to try their products.

Bill from SS is in China right now working on quality control and also some secret project at their factory. No...I don't know what it is

Aquavapor should have some cartos out soon.....they have made their selection for the time being but seemed interested in the Royal Smokers as well

well, we've had quite a bit of carto news lately, and with the new developments as to the 808 cartos having the same insides as the 4081s, here is my question
lori, the kanger 808 battery you were planning to get for mr lorikay due to scottbee's report where can it be found?
i did not care for the 808s with central wire [but thanks nonetheless to katya who enabled me to try them]. if they now come with the loop i might consider getting them after all. and they probably do best with the battery they were designed for.

Royal Smokers does NOT carry 4081 cartos,at least not in the retail store.

KR808 batteries are everywhere tib.....you just have to decide what you want....is color important to you? Will plain black or white be okay? Manual or auto ? And do you want a long cutoff time or is the standard 6second good enough? And do you want regular 280 mah or Mega 350 mah which last much longer? I have to know all that and then I can tell you where to get the best price.

I would like to have it confirmed by either a picture or someone asking the seller that the KR808 from WU is indeed the same design as the 510/4081. Because I tried asking him weeks ago and could not get an answer that made sense.

Why doesn't someone else try writing to the guy or calling him ??? Obviously I can't do it since the alleged lawsuit issue....I don't he wants to talk to me. Instead of posting all these questions here anyone can just ask the sellers...that is all I do. It's no big secret Since reading comprehension seems to be part of the problem just email him the picture mick posted and ask...."is this a KR808 and who makes it?"

My conscience dictates that I answer you Salt even though I will respectfully disagree with Yankee. I do not think you should try SS. Reason being that after reading through your post it seems that you might indeed be one of those people that cartos just do not work for. If you have been unhappy with all the ones you have already tried for such a variety of reasons you will not be happy with a SS or any other 4081. They are smaller so hold much less juice. And it sounds like you have a fairly aggressive style of vaping. No carto can withstand aggressive treatment. I seriously suggest you try hanging out and talking with some of the people who enjoy 5v vaping. CrashTestJeep is a very knowledgable young lady who uses some hardcore mods and a wide variety of juices. She is also very nice and very helpful...try looking at some of her posts. Also that mod I mentioned...the wetbox by Clouds of Vapor....that sounds like exactly what you need! My husband is an extremely aggressive vaper. He was the kind of smoker that would suck down a cigarette is half the time it took a normal person. He can literally burn a carto in 3-4hits. I'm buying him a Wetbox rather he wants one or not!

The only other help I can give would be to try to identify what exactly your doing that is so hard on cartos and then only you can decide rather you can change your style or not...or even want to.

Edit: Just in case someone new to the thread is reading: Everyone knows I'm a SS fangirl and not ashamed to say it. The reason I told Salt not to buy one is that the SS battery is an integral part of the positive experience you get with SS. I promise you trying to buy a cheaper 4081 battery or using an adapter will NOT result in a good experience...or at least not the same experience. Also alot of the cost of a SS has to do with asthetics....the craftmenship and beauty of the product...if that is not important to you then for youthey might not be worth it and you might be dissappointed.
