Well Tweetie Pie, I have all kinds of old stuff laying around here somewhere in boxes or whatnot. I even have a few unused original cartomizers from when I first discovered vaping. But that doesn't mean that I will be happy to fall back on the use any one of them if my physical condition deteriorates to a point where I have to depend on them. My latest prototype suits me better than anything that came before it, and it's kind of hard to go back to anything in this old world when you've had the very best.

I know, BR, I was just trying to be cheerful. :)

Have you tried a good magnifying glass, as Tibs suggested? Or a jeweller's loupe? You know, the kind that can be clipped to your eyeglasses?

I really thought about never posting here again as cart users can get very defensive so I will give my opinion and bow out. When I was young I would drive my Tbird at over 100mph, top down, no seat belts, I smoked 2 packs a day for over 50 years, now that I have been vaping for many years and over 70 in excellent health, why would I use a gadget that has the potential to heat up over 1000f in a split second with a material 3mm away that produces fumes as bad or worse than tobacco. So many other choices out there more efficient and better flavor without poly. Just seems like Russian roulette to me. But to each his own.:toast:

Defensive? Not anymore. ;)

Nah, we're just trying to help--each other and new vapers. Really.

I agree with you that that there are many better choices out there. Cartomizers are unpredictable. Even Boge releases a bad batch from time to time. But with a little knowledge one can use them safely. Even if they fry, a little whiff of singed cotton is not as lethal as a bullet to your head. ;)

Did you ever burn your casserole? Sat be a campfire? Barbequed a hot dog? Drove a car on the 405 in rush hour? Got a nasty dry hit from a dry coil of a clearomizer? Cleaned your bathroom with bleach or ammonia containing cleaner? Put gasoline in your car? We all breathe in all kinds of toxic fumes daily--natural and manmade.

I like my fillerless cartomizers--I use Kanger clearomizers nowadays, but there are people who still prefer regular cartomizers, especially new vapers who like the cigalike small form of mini batteries. I consider them safe if used properly--and much safer than smoking!

Thanks for stopping by! And for testing the diapers! :)

Thanks Tweetie. Just seeing you here is cheerful enough for me.

You didn't read my reply to Tibs suggestion?

My jeweler's loupe is factory installed on a conventional headband which has two internal lenses (one a flip up). It has built in adjustable LEDs that can be directed on to the work. One problem is that I am blind in one eye and have no depth perception.

Hey everybody! I need a new tank to try.

Been using the Vision Vivi Nova and just got a few Smok Tech Vivi's because I can't always find replacement heads for the Vision in 2.8Ω. Anybody have a recommendation for another top coil tank with replaceable heads? I'm not interested in rebuilding... just using it until it burns out and screwing another one on.

Also looking for a reasonably priced VV mod that isn't shaped like a toilet paper holder. VV Grippers are pretty good but they don't last me more than a few months before the electronics give out.

Thanks!

The only top coil that ever worked for me was the Kanger T2. I don't like Vivi Novas or top coil clears, for that matter.

I'm a convert to Kanger BCC clearos. They are all good--Would you consider giving them a try? T3S, eVod, ProTank 2 and mini ProTank 2 are all very nice, IMO.

I only use tube mods, but Reo makes a vv mod nowadays. If you like to squonk, that is. :)

Also, the iTaste MVP has been getting good reviews. The latest version has a built-in ohm meter.

But it's a proprietary battery that cannot be replaced. Alas!

Or try the Beast: ;)
