Well after my last thread i thought id go and give vv a try and have to say i love it!

Only got myself a vision spinner but it ticks all my boxes and since its purchase i finished off my remaining cigs and havn't touched any since!

When i got it i bought 2 vivi mini nova 2ml tanks/atomisers/cartomisers/whatever the actual name is for them? one which i have vaped 2 fillups worth with no problems, my other seems to get a horrid burning taste when i crank it over 3.6/3.8v any idea why this is happening? it vapes fine on 3.3v and im using a 70pg 30vg mix...

If you look at the bottom of the head you'll see a small whit(ish) rubber ring sandwiched between the metal contacts. The other side of that ring is what smolders if when the coil legs get too hot. I rebuild mine all the time, and often I have to tinker with them to keep 'em from burning. They usually perform great at 3.7-4 volts. I wouldn't recommend you take them apart unless you don't plan on using it again, or you plan to rebuild them :) It's near impossible to get the coil legs back in place once you open it.

I'm not sure about a universal answer. I have found recently that if a coil isn't wrapped round it's wick with the right amount of tension it can either make two things happen. If it is too loose then it will gargle and leak and won't vape correctly. And if it is too tight it won't allow the juice to flow smoothly enough, won't produce much vapour, and will give burnt hits.

If its fine for a few puffs then bad it means your coil isnt being fed juice properly.
most clearomizers require the user to be knowledgable enough to tinker with them.
At this point it sounds like something is going wrong where your coils are going dry.

1. you could try cutting holes in the condom that is slipped over the coil housing head.
2. you could try pulling a couple of the strings of the wick out to give juice more room to enter the slots.
3. you could take the silicone condom completely off (but you better remember its off! lol) and just tip n vape.
By doing #3 you open yourself up to allowing juice to spill out the mouth piece if you allow it to. (tip it)

The number one thing you need to be doing is trying to get juice to that head.
So no matter which steps you decide to try first, keep shaking juice up to that coil head.
Thats the main thing you need to do with top coil clearos, shake the juice toward the coils!

goodluck!

well the good news is i'v taken it apart tonight, cleaned everything taken one of the 4 wicks out and it now vapes a treat :)

was following a youtube tutorial and was unsure wether to pop in the sleve that goes over the wicks and coil that slots into where they sit (if that makes sence) as the guy in the tutorial didnt... i put it back in anyway but WOW what a difference!

TOLD YA! did you take any of my advice? Its cool if you didn't. Only took me 10 minutes.. :p
lol. jk. Glad to hear its working better. Like I said above, if you take that cover off, it'll leak if you tip it.
But taking that cover off definitely aids in the wicking and makes it a VERY nice vape. just put it back on!

yes thanks, took one of the whole wicks out rather than a few strands from it - thought thats probably the easiest to start with, didnt realise it would be as easy to take apart and put back together again, the only fiddley bit is getting the coil wireback through.
