Ok..

Been vaping for awhile now and haven't had trouble with the burnt atty taste unless my cart gets too dry. Yesterday and today all I seem to get is burnt atty taste.

I have a 201, a 510, a dragon and a vapre51. It doesn't matter what device I'm using or what liquid I'm using, all I taste is burnt atty.

I put on all new atty's and carts on everything and I still can't taste anything but the burnt flavor.

I've tried several different cart mods today. PTB, Analog filter plug, polyfill, even the fish tank filter foam and nothing is making a difference.

Has anyone else every experienced this?? I'm getting really frustrated and somewhat nauseated everytime I try to vape. Anyone have an idea on how to cleanse my palate if it is just me??

HELP

Are you sure you've burned off the primer fluid? It's recommended that people blow out the atty and direct drip a couple of drops of liquid on the atty, then "puff and blow" until the bad taste goes away. Try keeping an atty on and direct drip until the atty wick is "seasoned" with the liquid, instead of primer fluid. Also make sure you have enough liquid in your cart at all times. You can also try cleaning before using them - rinse them out or try one of the soaking methods.

I found that blowing it out and direct dripping for a while will season the atty, so I haven't had too many problems with bad taste.

Your mom said not to say...
This is a puzzler for sure. You say you have changed to a new atomizer with no success, a new cartridge with no success, I don't see any point in trying a different battery unless for some reason your battery is putting out too much voltage and burning the fluid and cart filler.

Have you used completely new filler material? I have found that by using a unused filler it can improve the taste once a filler has been used too much. I would think that if your trying different carts that you did try a new unused cart to see if the flavor stays the same. I imagine you have tried a few different liquids as well, what about the expiration date on them? Unlikely they would all go bad at the same time but it's not impossible. What about storage of the fluids did you leave them open and out?

Try this on your 201, since I am not familiar with your other models. Blow it out completely, start with a clean slate. Drip 4 drops onto the atty bridge. Drip slowly, give the bridge time to soak up the liquid. Vape on it. When you get a dry taste (it may happen on the first draw), drip 4 more drops on the bridge, slowly. Repeat this process until it seems like you're getting sufficient puffs of vapor between dripping. At that point you're likely ready to put on a cart and vape on it. If the burnt taste comes back, then your carts don't sound like they are wicking the liquid to the atty fast enough. You may need to try a fresh cart, or thin out your cart filler a bit to help the liquid flow faster to the atty.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I still have no idea what was going on this morning, but it must have been something with my tastebuds. After a few hours of frustration (and coming dangerously close to buying a pack of analogs) I took a short nap, had a bite to eat and made some very simple ejuice of VG, 0mg PG and double strength vanilla extract. For some reason it just stopped.

It's been a weird day.

On the upside... I think I finally found the perfect Djarum special flavor which I'll post in the appropriate thread.

Thanks again everyone.
