Hi, so yesterday I got a new tfv8 x4 coil and primed it and continued to vape at 60 watts for over a day and everything was great, today I tried to crank it up to 75 watts and took a long hit and got this burnt taste, now I can't vape above 45-50 watts without getting a burnt taste.. Should I change the coil or keep vaping at a lower wattage? Since I don't get the burnt taste unless I go up

When I got the TFV8 I first used the Q4 coil. That one cannot handle the wattage like the TFV8 coil can. Personally if a coil was half burnt I would not use it because I can't get satisfaction from it, having onto be on a certain wattage to not taste burnt. When my Q4 coil burnt out I switched to the TFV8 coil and had no problem since. It seems like they last much longer for me. This is for my cloud beast. For the Baby Beast I'd recommend the T8 or T6 coil because I believe it's basically a similar idea as far as the weaker coil lasting shorter than the more powerful coil.

what do you mean tfv8 coil? i was looking up the tfv8 which is the baby beast i believe? and they come in various coils the single coil, duel coil, and i think quad. q4 = quad i highly assume. only real difference i see in these coils otherwise is the resistance more coils = lower resistance. i did buy a pack of q4 to replace didn't come in though so idk how those or the tfv8 goes but i read a lot of good reviews on it but the people didn't state which coils they were using.

as for the burnt taste i found this issue with my replacable atty tanks like the aspire triton after just a day of use low or high it gets burnt fast even at a lower wattage even regardless what ohm the coils were but i replaced them everytime i got a burnt taste. even after i vaped it on a lower wattage after burning it you can still taste the burnt flavor and it isn't pleasant. this is why i quickly moved onto RDA's and RTA's when i first started. just got sick of replacing the coils everyday just wasn't consistent. i never tried any other atty that had replacable coils since then until now, like i said i got the tfv8 baby beast comming in hopefully this weekend if that has the same issue i will probably stick to my rta's and rda's

if your new i suggest looking up how to build coils safely and all that it does save you a lot of money in the long run. wire is cheap and wicking material is extremely cheap in bulk i still have a .... load of wick and wire i bought from last year.

If it was great at the 60 watts why did you change it. Just curious. Clouds are not everything. It's about that sweet spot and what works. Just because it recommends it is safe at a certain wattage doesn't mean you have to go there. Juice also has a lot to do with it. Different flavor profiles, different wattages.

These are the coils for the Baby Beast. I believe if you want higher wattage, go with the coils that handle take more wattage.

When I used factory coils I had to go longer on a coil than I liked because I didn't have a replacement. If I could replace it I did, as soon as it was no longer performing to my satisfaction. Have you considered building your own coils? It sounds far more intimidating than it actually is, and once you do you can replace yucky cotton in just a few minutes, whenever you need to.
