Burnt My cartomizer!

Just got my KTS telescopic storm the other day (about 2-3weeks ago), vaped happily.

However after just 2 rounds of washing (to make way for other flavours), the cartomizer died down on me!!!
I changed to my spare carto, and it fired happily, hence it's definitely the cartomizer dying on me, rather than the entire PV going bananas.

Since the spoilt carto can't be brought back to life, I decided to pry out the fillings to see what exactly happened. To my horror, the cotton-like foam has a gaping burnt hole, and the fibre netting tube(don't know whats that called) had a similar hole.
Could this be the reason of my carto's malfunctioning, or is it the way I washed them?

Regarding the washing, I blew out remaining juices onto a paper towel, and sucked tap water through the tube using mouth till no taste. Is it ok for me to do that? Or is there a better way of cleaning out a cartomizer?

Another question is, I'm down to my last carto. The set it bought comes with 2 cartomizer, and one is already down the drain. I know its a very sensitive and risky topic, but can anyone tell/PM me just where can I get more cart.

To clean: Place yr carto in a cup of warm water and occasionally shake the carto. Once the water is no longer warm, refill with fresh warm water. After that just let yr carto dry out. 1st few puffs will taste of warm water but the proper juice's taste will return soon after.

There are lots of threads teaching how to clean, just scroll thru the forum. Vodka is another option but u need to splash some $ for that cleaning option.

No need vodka. Get 70% rubbing alcohol from watsons. $5++ only. Works just as good.

Cartos are meant to be use and dump. At most you can wash them for a couple of times.

Get a clearomizer which can be strip and rebuilt.

Maybe I'll try rubbing alcohol method. For the warm water, will the inside coils be all rusty and stuff?

Um. Like what someone else mentioned, cartos are meant to be use and dump. But you can choose to clean it to try and extend it's life.

Having said that, once a carto has been burnt, there is absolutely no way of salvaging it. You can try cleaning it but the burnt plasticky taste will always be there.

You best bet is to take reaaaaaal good care of your remaining one (always always make sure it's wet and primed properly) until you get new cartos

i have ever saw once in youtube the way they clean the soaker is by burn it using torch gas (if you have one)
not sure if its the same soaker as yours

Anyone experienced a burnt Halo cart? I soaked them in hot water and cleaned them using the syringe method. But I'm getting a weird taste on my Midnight Apple. Probably burnt or something else.

It's all in how you look at it .
For me a pack of cigarette's is $6.50 to $8.00 a pack
So a new Karger pro is $15.00 and has two heads that last me a month - normal is longer - there's still big savings ( coil heads are cheep)
I will keep three or more going with different flavors that way the only time I clean them is if I get some thing in or on it .
I do wipe the tip's with a swab before I use them ,you just never know if you pet have licked it or not lol
When I order some thing I know I will use I like to get bulk that way I'm never out .

Cartos i agree..use and throw. Mine lasted 1 month. Maybe i burnt it..stupid rite. Tried to dry burn my carto using high voltage

I tried the boge cart on my g6 manual batt and it didn't work. It works perfectly on the auto batt. Is it supposed to be that way?

I'm not using a mod, just a cig alike, Halo G6 at the moment..

Between 2.7 to 3.3.. anyway boge carts sucks!

Ah. Strange. No idea why then. Although just FYI, it's pretty pointless using anything more than 3 ohms on a cig-a-like a halo G6. With a 3.7 volts output, you barely even get more than 1.2A with a 3ohm carto, which gives you approx 4.3 watts. You're never gonna get anything remotely close to a decent vape at that wattage.

Try a LR (low resistance) carto, anywhere from 1.5 to 2.2 ohms and I guarantee you you'll have a different experience. The only reason why I'm suggesting is because if you look around, Boge is considered one of the best carto brands around, along with Smok and ikenvape. Having said that, Boge has a denser filler material, so if you use thick juice with high VG, try out Smok's cartos instead. If not, a Boge carto is a really solid carto. Just my 2c.
