Burnt taste after cleaning tank

I have noticed when going to a new flavor i first rinse out the tank with hot water and then just blow it out to remove water and tow dry it..i actually let it sit in hot water for about 30 minutes..but once i dry it and add a new flavor i get this horrible burnt metalic taste..is this from me using water on metal?

I don't leave mine soaking, just rinse them out but I haven't noticed that problem on any of my tanks, generally any burnt taste you get is going to come from the coil/cotton but I assume you're not soaking that as well(if you are, that's the problem). Which tank are you using?

Don't ever get the atomizer wet. Even with vodka. They're meant to be disposable. If you get them wet with anything other than e-liquid, they never quite work the same again.
