Depending what type of "tank" and where you got it, it could be the wick. I've seen more than one knockoff EVOD tank come with a bad wick. Quick swap with a new wick, preferably the slightly larger protank wicks, which are now supposed to be standard in all kanger EVOD/Protanks. Sadly, this issue is more common than you'd think. Another less likely possibility is that your wick is either dry or if you rinsed it with water while filling it isn't fully dry. Either of those will cause the burnt taste as well. Water and oil don't mix, so if you wash a wick, you have to dry it completely before using it again.

i have a EVOD Twist that i just got yesterday and had the same problem.. what i did was took the tank apart and were the heating coil seporates from the tank theres a stem that goes thru the tube.. take the clear rubber cap off and turn it upside down and replace everything..
with mine if i took a big hit(vape, drag what ever) it would have a weird kinda burn taste.. so i put the internet to use and researched it.. found a link that pointed to that rubber piece not allowing fluids to wick around the rubber.. and to flip it over.. i have not had any leaking and everythings working fine... i hope this helps

That might be the case, cause I did rinse it with water. It may have not been completely dry when I filled it. What should I do if that's the problem?

Take a few pulls without pressing the fire button to help the wicking get the juice in :) The trick with the rubber grommet only will help should you have a bottom coil tank like an evod. Usually an ego T has a CE top coil clearo though.

I clean my tanks with swabs and alcohol or let the Kanger for example soak in alcohol and then leave them to dry. I have had much success with this. Make sure they are dry! And don't put your wicks in it.
It could be that you didn't let it sit for a bit. Some Ati's have to properly soak up juice or you get a burnt taste. Also, if you aren't waiting enough time between each inhale. Maybe it is getting too hot. There is a lot of good info above, try whatever you think will work.
