Thatguy,I am betting you are probably a Virgo. We know how to save money. I started with the Blu,then Egos and did that for most of my 2.7 yrs smoke free. I then bought a Vamo and that petered out,so I got the Provari. I make my own juice and I know this Provari will last. I don't need a ton of mods, just something that works. I use the same tanks I have had for over a year, nothing new or shiny there,I just by my Boge cartos. No fancy drip tips. I keep it simple and I keep my cash in my pocket. My biggest monthly, non smoking expense is the gym I joined after I quit the Cigs. You are right, just keep it simple and only go to the vape site when you need something

One thing I've noticed in the larger vaping community is people will give stuff away. I know this is true, because I've done it, and others have said so on this thread. Which makes sense as many used to bum smokes (give them to others). There is that sense of community that comes with this habit and the inherent joy we all get from it.

I think I've been given around $500 of stuff in my 2 years of vaping, and probably given out about $200 of stuff.

I never went looking for handouts, it just happens.

Anyway, I'm one of those vaper types that very much enjoys my cigalike set up and probably going to stick to that. But I'll admit to an appeal for the high tech / shiny toys. To each their own, without judgment.

Wow I just checked Marl Lights 20's here in the UK are from the largest supermarket chain around US$13-14.50 a packet, at 20 a day that's over $100 (£62+) a week. At that kind of money you could order a new mod and tank a week from our clone friends;). I wonder what will happen when the ban takes place for vapers, politics and economics screams at me here, you cannot put a price on your health and vaping is the future as one YouTuber said 'Vaping is the future, and the future is now here'
Time to get making some juices I need 1000 gallons by 2016;)

My girlfriend spent 60 a week on cigs. So that's 260 a month.

I spent about a hundred a month on hookah/pipe tobacco.
So combined that's 360 a month.

Now we spend maybe 60 a month on tobacco products and 80 a month on vape gear.

360-140=120 every month we are ahead. And with my vape budget I buy basically anything I want since I started diy juice.

Great conversation on cost savings and investment, but my story is just a little different. Most of you are switching from cigarettes, but I am a cigar smoker, still. I have cut my cigar consumption from a couple per day to a few per week. From a monetary standpoint, I am far ahead at this point.

My average cigar purchase is $8. At the height of my cigar smoking, I would invest a little over $100 per week in cigars. That is down to about $30 per week now. I do not come anywhere near $70 per week on supplies for my liquids and vaping gear. I think it is around $20 per week, at the most.

I did not start vaping for health or money reasons, but those are nice benefits. I started because my wife, my co-workers, and friends tolerate the e-cigarette but did not tolerate the cigar puffing. Now I can hang out with them and "smoke", instead of just sitting in the smoke cave at home.

just you wait..

soon you'll start wanting mods..

and then a new prettier mod will come out.. and you'll need it.

Then the newest prettiest mod will come out and you'll need that too..

It's a vicious, vicious, cycle.

And for every cigarette they keep me from smoking, it's worth EVERY penny.

I will tell you something , regard me vaping cost me double what ordinary cigarette was cost , but stop here and pay attention , you will save million things to better level , first of all the health which is the top of the pyramid, then , then , then, and so on , lets say now your away from that ugly disgusting smell in your mouth and clothes first to your self and to all around , i occasionally asked from people around whats that nice smell come from your device , now they love it before we are source of offensive smell, my thought with all that much money will e cig cost i save my self for ever .
