heres my first prototype (was christmas and radioshack wasnt open) for my toutch mod..

well the box is ~3x2x1.5 (old power adapter) for a router

the power cord (still working on) has a dc jack connector the wall charger was for an old creative mp3 player i had till it fried but its 5v 1500 ma gonna find another end and put it on the end of a usb so it will be more convienent

the inside guts

outside.jpg

2 toutch bars and power plug

lemme know what you think... i am thinking about selling it which would not cost near as much as all them chucks and stuffs

the next version is gonna have

~new project box (was thinking the same as i used before for my 3 2000mah batteris [vaped me well through 3 days before even noticing any decrease in vapor but still way more than stock batteries]

~find studs for probes (i thik i have just the right thing at the shop in SS so no corrosion problems)

~wire in led (many colors to choose from) (just like my nicobox mod thing)

~going to move from the tire chuck mod to the type n dc plug things and put the connector recessed in more

~find usb female mini plug for pt version (possibly rechargable version)

~slap it together :D

il keep posted up on here prolly wont get parts till monday or thursday (monday stuff opens backup and thursday i get paid)

Edit : i decided to go with the 3 1.2v 2000mah rechagables liek i did in my last mod they last forever and no hastle with the cords i am going to put in a pt plug for usb with diodes so it wont short the batteries or anything so you can use batts or usb picking up parts in a little bit i found the contacts i was looking for popped the centers out of a couple pop rivets and cut the bud end off exactly what i was looking for :)

Cool idea.. Why not consider rivets for the contacts? Could get some small ones, go right through the side of a project box and maybe even get them to hold the wires with the right size connectors once they are compressed.. Grommets might be another thing you could use but I can never get solder to stick to them.

well i made one and it worked on the 1.5a 5 v wall charger, when i put it to my usbport it wouldnt put out enough power to run the irght voltage through my finger and the atty at the same time so back to square 1 lol unless i can find a voltage increaser thing that goes up to 5-7.5 volts any idea? because thats how much power it takes to make the mosfet kick on. and i took the center out of the rivets and cut them down so that there were just the little round nubs sticking out but i couldnt get the solder to stick to the aluminum for sh**. it made me so angry i just made another fancy pass through cuz it was making me angry but im gonna get another project box for 4 AA and gonig the other rout

things needed
voltage increaser thingy 5~7.5 volts anyone know where i can get one?

It's in every network card - 10Mb old ISA cards are the best!

It's a 5V-9V small booster.

Alternatively you could make one with some small dedicated IC and 2-3 capacitors.

None will work on a computer USB port though, voltage drops to ~3V when using attys.

ah so that would explain my problem but since only the gate on the mosfet needs the 5 volts to power up then couldnt i just use the voltage increaser thingy on just the gate and let the 3 volts flow to the atty?
and ih ave a ton of them old network cards laying around but they arent isa they are pci but from ~1990s can u post a pic of the thing im looking for?
thanks caesar
