How new is new? Has it been like this from the start or did it just begin after working properly?
Sorry missed the "anymore". Was it just spontaneous?

I have yet another odd issue with my new GGTS. If I press the button straight down...nothing happens anymore. However, if I press the button at an angle from the bottom cap towards the top cap, it works. I took everything apart and polished extremely well, but nothing fixes the issue. Thoughts?

Did you cleaned the axis on the bottom cap that button touch? Thats ther main reason the most of times. You will see some black marks on it. Shine it with a cream, or use eraser or use a very fine sandpaper Zai.

ps........ Button cant stop working. Its 3 pieces of metal and a spring

make sure the ends are tightened, as harpo said. then depending on whether you have the adjustable ring on your button or not, install your button in the base tube with only the bottom cap screwed, meaning no telescope, collector tank avs, etc. when pressing the button you should now be able to see if and how it is making contact with the bottom post. it is likely that the button is not screwed far enough into the body, and therefore when fully pressed doesn't reach the contact post. you can look directly at it with the telescope and everything above that removed to make any adjustments necessary. you'll want it to be close enough to make contact when you press the button, the way you like to, but not too close that no pressing of the button is required. give this a try.

also, unless the button hole in the tube got enlarged somehow the button should screw in perfectly straight. also, the spring post screws in the bottom plate perfectly straight, but double check this as well. together they meet at a perfect 90 degrees, there shouldn't be any need or ability to push the button upwards, downwards or off angle. be sure your bottom cap post is screwed in properly straight and stable, and be sure your button is screwed in perfectly straight and stable as well, no jiggle. if there is movement on these parts (side to side on the spring post when screwed in, or side to side, up and down on the button when screwed in) let us know.

The hole for the button is made by a machine so its always straight BuGG. But even if it wasnt I have leave room for its axis to "play" a little inside its case. The hole story is only about cleaning the axis on the bottom cap and the base of the button. This happened to me 2-3 times already because I leave my GG uncleaned all the time to see its behavior. I am sure that Zai forgot to clean the axis of the cap
