Dang, I had this long post that somehow got lost in the ether, and I'm too lazy to write it all out again.

So, long story short, I've noticed much better performance from these button top purple 2500mah efest "35a" (in quotes because that's the pulse rate, but they are advertised on most sites as 35) as compares to my Sony vtc5 or 4's. Any vape quality difference is probably all in my head and maybe longevity is too but I can go through a full 5ml bottle at .35ohms and the batt is still at 3.8. I never metered my Sony's to be fair, but I'd usually change batts about 1/2 through the bottle. I am also noticing far less arcing.

Has anyone else seemed to have better luck with button tops?

I tried the Orbtronic SX30s (button top, 30amp) and they worked fine but my vtc5 seem to last longer and charge correctly. My sx30s would charge fine most of the time (90%) but occasionally would build too much resistance and the chargers would shut down. This would occur on my Pila as well as my VP charger. I have since taken them out of circulation and relegated them to high amp flashlight detail (something I'm not putting in my pie hole.).

I'm pretty sure I saw button top vtc5's at kidney puncher. I will never use efest batteries, just my personal opinion. My eyebrows are important to me..
I don't see anything wrong with efest specially their purple wrap, they're as
Good as sony vtc, I used them booth been great .. and no battery will blow up your eyebrows ..never heard battery blow up on vapers..

Please don't take my comment about efest personally. I am far from the authority on on all that is ECig and I am a stickler for what I will and won't buy. For example I will never buy a Korean car, no Kia, no Hyundai. I'm sure lots of people love there Kias and Hyundais but they just aren't for me.

If you had been around a while earlier you would have!!! Let's just say 2012 wasn't such a good year for some people...

Yes but let's put blame where it belongs, that guy was using the wrong kind of batteries. The wrong kind he was using were NIMH from radio shack or something like that. He was most DEFINITELY NOT using the safe chemistry batteries we all should be using.

Efest batteries ARE safe chemistry, so no matter how much you are against using them, they will never explode.

First things first and lets get this straight.... "I" was not the one that said anything negative about Efest batteries in any way, shape, or form. In fact "I" even own some Efest batteries. I suggest you go back and re-read this thread again before you start making accusations...

I merely answered a post by someone that said, they had never heard of a battery blow up before. That was all... It didn't matter what brand or chemistry of the battery, it did blow up!!! Prior to that a guy in Florida, (iirc), had some batteries, (ICR's iirc), that failed in his charger and hurt him pretty bad and almost burnt down his house at the same time.

I agree with you on putting blame where it belongs and even as bad as it was, it brought out some good in that it really upped battery safety and education for our community...

This is interesting Chowderhead. I've never heard of it happening before. Resistance change from a bad connection between parts?
