Buttons
After recently having acquired a brass button I've realized that brass seems to be a much better conductor of current than stainless steel.
I did the following test:

Equipment
GGTS #1649
Odysseus in short mode fitted with GGTS base
Coil 1.4 ohms (about 2 days old)
Wick - standard Ody wick from COV
Battery - AW IC 18650 (not freshly charged and in fact well used for about 8-9 hours)
Button - new type SS button

I was using the above setup and vapor production diminished prompting me to replace my battery. New 18650 installed and vapor production immediately returned to the great levels I'm used to from my Ody.I then took out the new battery, removed the SS button, installed the brass button and re-fitted the old battery. Vapor production was huge, more than the fresh battery. I took out the old battery, put in the new and the hit was as if I'm vaping higher voltage (I had to open the juice control more)

I've tried this now on different setups (Ody/UFS) and every time the hit from the brass button is a huge difference. I even tried changing SS button just in case the SS button I was testing had a problem.
EVERY TIME the brass button performed with a marked improvement over the SS button.

If you have a brass button try the following. On your GGTS with an SS button take a few toots and check flavor/vapor - now remove the SS button and install the brass button and try again.

BRASS ROCKS no doubt about it !!

No got a stainless cap on that GGTS fitted with a fuse kit.

Sounds good. I have been having to press my as buttons a little hard to get a good contact on the post. Those new brass buttons sound like it will fix that problem.

Are you using a brass bottom cap as well?

......sent from my phone.

You should get the pretty much the same performance from all button/switches; I'd double check the contact points on any that don't perform well.

I hook up the passtru to a Mastech, swap out switches, and check the amps. With brass, plated brass, stainless, copper on brass, heavy spring, light spring, magnets....you name it I've tested it and the end result is all are within .08 amps. If you've got one that's giving you problems, check each point of contact and see if you can ID what's causing the drop in peformance.

Hope this helps

Bristow, Ok.
Take a pencil eraser and run it over your post and the inside of the button. That will fix it. The inside of your button will get dirty too and you have to remove it and take it apart and clean it. If your button gets hot it is because it is dirty. You want the battery to heat up your coil not the button.
I too have a finicky button on one of my stealth...I have to unscrew the bottom cap a bit to make it work

I use very fine emery paper to clean the SS button post as I noticed it can get slightly pitted after a couple of months use. It made quite a bit of difference. The most noticeable thing for me after cleaning was that the atomiser audibly fires up much faster in relation to the button being pressed.

It does....every little bit adds/subtracts to the performance.

My top performer right now is the new SS version w/copper on the end post (increased amps by .2). It'a PITA to do, but it did add that much.

Thats more than true Para. The only we need on contacts is that they have to have a mirror finish.
