All older GGTS had that button Paul. I just wanted to reduce the length of the button thats why I made it without the ability to adjust the throw. But now these brass buttons are only 1mm longer than the current buttons on GGTS so I will make them in all GGTS from now on
So this is our first small look at Penelope :)

I really like the style of those new brass buttons. I hope when you are less busy with P&P you will make the exact same buttons in all SS ;)

This may sound ......ed but has anyone tried somethinh like arctic silver? The one used on processors and heatsinks on pc's.

I have that sitting between my CPU and Heatsink. I know it contains silver, but I doubt it conducts electricity well. Its suppose to transfer heat well tho. What do u want to do with artic silver?

Actually I downloaded this video and went through it almost frame by frame but we never saw the top of lady Penelope. She looks nice however, I gather since this is a prototype it's not polished so I look forward to see her in her full polished glory on top of an equally polished Proteus. Very exciting stuff.

Great button Imeo, no correction, FANTASTIC button !!
I especially like the fact it's dual color brass/stainless so it will really match the GGTS as opposed to just brass. I agree that it should be the new standard button on all GGTS however I also agree that an all Stainless version should be available.

I must say I was surprised with the bigger logo and the new layout of the rest of the engravings but after seeing the video about 30 times I like it. It kinda grew on me and I like it, especially the fact that all engravings are deeper.

Fantastic work Imeo, as always you never disappoint .
Thank you

Again Paul, to put my name in the same sentence with the master of shine (dspin) is a true honor, but I am still a student. If the master sees what I did he'll probably have a coronary because he'd never put a buffing wheel to any of his beloved GG's. He's old school, strictly manual labor spit and shine kinda guy.

He of course would never buy a scuffed GG so he doesn't have that problem :)

That's a fair point.

I just want to know when dspin and yourself, among notable others will be releasing your "How to clean your GG" video series ;)

I liked to think that I kept my GGTS immaculate but you guys have shown a whole new level to me.

I wrap SS mesh around the spring inside the button in an effort to increase the contact surface in the switch, between the spring coils as well as the post to body contact.
I just use ink pen springs, which are readily available rather than order and wait for new ones. Wrapped in SS mesh the button has a little more resistance, not enough to be difficult, and seems to make the button feel more stable.

Poppa D, interesting but if you wrap mesh around the spring in the button doesn't it get stuck? Is it still springy, hard to imagine how it still works. I would imagine the mesh prevents the spring from returning to its extended length once you press the button.
