Quick version of the backstory:

My life so far: cartos -> dripping (dse901) -> carto tanks (twist) -> clearos (twist->provari) -> carto tanks (provari -> kicked k100 "chimpire") -> dripping (hh.357 -> RBAs).

Each change was either just wanting to upgrade or because I wasn't satisfied. Damn, dripping rebuildables are nice. I still own most of the gear, but I've given some of it away. I basically went back through a few stages over the last week...and, yeah.

I think it's time for a Reo. I've got the colors picked out, and I'll be getting a reomizer with it. There's a kick waiting for it, and I have a good idea of how/where to sand it to make it work. Or I could do the low-ohm thing. Whatever.

Here's the question: I'm still debating on the Grande vs. Mini 2.1.

Is there anyone who'd do me a favor and post a picture for size comparison. I've seen them next to each other, and I've seen an original mini in person. If someone happens to own a mini 2.1, a grande, and any of the mods listed above, I'd be eternally grateful.

Both are great! I personally don't think you can go wrong with either choice. You want small, go for the mini 2.1, you want a tad bit bigger go for the grand.

You want to use a kick, then I would say go for the grand. It isn't as large as it appears in this picture.

Quick response.

I typically use a kicked k100 with a dripper RDA and an 18350. I think I own 6 of the batteries and have a box that will hold 4 of them. I also carry a laptop bag everywhere, so I'm not so worried about that. And I'm not into the super LR coil thing just yet. I've done it (down to 0.8), but I find myself happier over the course of a day with a kick. When it starts out hotter, I find myself pulling batteries when they hit like 3.8V...so I actually end up getting more useful battery life with a slightly cooler (but consistent) vape with the 18350+kick than with an 18490.

And I've seen pictures like those. I really want to see it next to something else so I can get an idea of holding it. The only one I've seen in person is the original mini. Man, it was small. I guess the grande isn't really that much bigger, but I'm somehow skeptical. Probably just pre-purchase jitters.

I use the 18490 with a 1.4ish coil and will get minimum half a day of lots of vaping without any drop in heat vapour on a slow vape day the 18490 will get me 8 hours or so
. that is with AW IMR batts they will give the longest steady voltage over any other batts that will fit the mods properly

Here are a few more. :)
Photo for Visual Compairison Picture of Grand (Red & Black) and Mini ( Silver ) with Riva battery in the middle

I thought maybe this would give new owners a better idea of the size.

Both the Grand and the Mini are smaller than a standard size business card.

The Grand is almost exactly the same size, just a touch narrower :)

Solid choice. Talk about an awesome, all day (and night) hassle free vape. You'll surely enjoy the newfound vaping freedom and confidence afforded by a piece of gear like a REO grand. Congrats :)

I sure hope so. I posted my progression in my OP, and I'm really getting sick of reservoir systems (tanks, etc.) that dissappoint. In normal life, dripping is fine. But lounging on the couch and driving....

It's paying like $190 for essentially a rebuildable with a reservoir, but I have yet to talk to a reo owner who had anything bad to say about it other than "if you're not careful while changing juice, it can get a little messy" or "my stubby fingers won't work it", which I kind of didn't understand (and no offense to the guy if he's on here too...his words, not mine). When I started talking about it with people, everyone just said "do it".

Dude, it's like paying whatever (insert number much less than two months of cigs) and getting extremely durable, virtually effortless, off the freakin chizzain vape wherever / whenever you are / want.

Leak free, simple, reliable are other words that come to mind. I also feel alot more comfortable running my REOs in public cause its not a big old phalyc looking tube :)

A word of caution though. Better increase your vaping budget, cause once you get a REO, your gonna want more REOs :)

You will be happy. Coming from a fellow musician and developer, I'll just say vaping a Reo is like nailing your part on the first recording take. It's like compiling your code completely error-free on the first build attempt. :D

That's the way dripping RBAs were...almost instantly. That's what I'm hoping for.

You mean while tape's actually speeding....or when the code actually does something instead of just exit clenly......that's too big of a dream. No way a reo can live up to that.

(half sarcastic for people who don't get it)

Yes, the real thing, not just "hello, world" and the scratch track for the drummer. :D

Wasn't even thinking about that, but I love that song. Never seen the video before...it's not bad.

I need to get back to playing guitar. And for my Reo to get here. I'm excited. It left scarborough, maine this evening. So, it coule be here tomorrow. I'm not going to get my hopes up yet, though.
