Just curious if anyone who uses flavorwest for DIY buys from them direct? Is it more cost efficient buying from them in 4oz. bottles instead of getting the flavors from another vendor in 30ml bottles? Last wonderring how long the 4oz. bottle goes versus using a 30ml.I know the 4oz is a larger size and will go farther but in the long run do the larger bottles have to be used up quicker before they would spoil,or would they spoil at all.I am getting ready to make my next purchase of flavors and can't decide if i should go with the larger,or stay with the 30ml flavor bottles.Only downside to this for me is going direct from flavorwest they only carry a few tobacco flavors fortunately they have a couple i do use.

We have both 4 oz. bottles from FW and 30 ml bottles from TFA. The 4 oz. bottles last us longer, and are really a nice buy for $7.13 on average. I'm vaping a Chocolate Mint with Creme de Menthe made from Flavor West flavors, right now. I like to purchase from them if possible just because of the cost combined with the quantity.

That said, I do like the flavors from TFA, but have not run a taste test between the two.

I think there are significant differences in percentages to be aware of if switching vending sites for acquiring Flavors West not all are super concentrated. DIY Juice is not. Flavors West is the original. DIY Juice ( still just Flavors West) is fashioned to be more user friendly or forgiving. PLEASE get verification! It's newly come to my attention. Anybody help me out here? As far as how long it'll last I think that depends on the flavor so the best stopping point would be one year. But 2 year should be just fine and then all bets off either way. That's how I'm looking at it. But how I'll do it is if it looks new in the bottle still and smells fine then make up some and it tastes good I'll keep it. If not I'll throw that flavor away. Id rather error on the side of under buying than over buying. Some flavors you personally only use a touch of and others you use a lot. For me lately must have plenty.

I bought some 10ml FW flavors from ECX and then ordered some 4oz bottles direct from FW. There is some question if they are the same or the bigger bottles are diluted. I just got the big bottles today and only one is the same as the smaller flavors, Fruit Stripe Gum. I'll make a batch out of the big bottle at the same percentage and let you know if they are the same. Just from smelling with the cap off, the big bottle seems stronger! I wouldn't put much faith into that though, probably just a stronger whiff because of the larger opening.

This is another of my main concerns,as the rest here i do get my flavorwest flavors from ECX in 30ml bottles and worried that going direct from flavorwest for a 4oz bottle whether it would be full flavor strength or diluted down,to the point it is basically the same as using the 30ml?? Flavorwest is the main vendor juice i purchase for my DIY with 3-4 exceptions from capella.I do not mind and would really enjoy getting a 4oz of the flavors i use from them as they would last me a longer time between stock ups again. The simple fact that the flavor being diluted is what worries me.I can't see paying $4.99 for 30ml's when i can get 40z's for $7.00.I consider that a huge plus, with worries added in??

The point is....some DIYers prefer diluted. It's more forgiving that's why the opened the DIY Juice line. I'm pretty positive. And you'll pay less probably use it quicker to try a new flavor. Then when your cranking out 15 - 30 ml bottles of vape juice you can get the original Favors West line, super concentrate to save money. Most DIYers don't need to invest in large bottles of super concentrates. Especially when starting out. It would get very wasteful when you buy something you don't like. Diluted version not so wasteful

Just tried the FSG and its not diluted. I ordered 8 different 4oz bottles, shipping was $12.35 bringing total to $67.16 or $8.40/bottle. Seems like a good deal to me. Three of the bottles are going to somebody else.

Nice, that's what i wanted to hear thanks. At $8.40/bottle that is cheaper than Capella flavorings at $8.99/bottle of 30ml.The shipping is steep but for the amount of $ saved per amount of flavor, with fewer stockups, balances out i guess.

the shipping from flavor west is kinda high.
ecto cooler is about the only FW flavor I use a lot of.. it works out to be about the same price buying 4x 30 ml from ECX with their cheaper shipping.

The shipping is steep i know but i am not talking about buying one seven dollar bottle to pay twelve dollars in shipping either.I just stumbled upon there site today by accident really and with a few searches of the flavors and the size of the bottles, the light bulb went off in my head.HDV is the same,if you have a rather large purchase there shipping is $14.95,the smaller the order it's cheaper.I just want to see if getting larger bottles will be cost effective essentially cutting down the number of times i would need to order.I see a flaw with this already though, having it all at hand to be able to make w/o fear of running low,or out, would temp one to want to just mix and vape away.

Flavor west has two other sites where they sell their flavors for vaping where the shipping prices are minimal... 2.95 or something... one, I think, is vapor.com and I can't remember the other but its a real stripped down site with just the names of flavors and no pictures, etc. But among the three, figure out the price per ml/oz and shipping to see which is the best price.

When I have time, I'll check my bookmarks.

I've bought direct from flavorwest as well. I think I got 5 bottles and shipping was $11. I sadly haven't touched two of the bottles, and am unsure if I ever will. I might try and sell them :(

Would you mind if i asked why you are unsure if you will use the untouched flavors??? I just would like all the info. before, what it is sounding like,a waste of money buying it in larger bottles,or some just do not like flavorwest??

In my (limited) exp. flavoring will diminish over time - some vendors label their juices with a 1 year shelf life, some do 2 years. Varies by flavoring though; I had to throw out one bottle after a year, but elsewhere a member here said he re-discovered juice he had from 3 years ago & it was fine.

I have a mix with FW in it that is a year and 2 months old, now, and it still tastes fine.

If you have an insatiable need for some flavors in particular, def get the big boss bottles - I require NF butterscotch all day every day so I picked up 6 oz of it... much cheaper in the long run.

I am not sure exactly what you mean by all this diyjuice.com and flavorwest are the same thing coming from the same address/company---just smaller sizes at DIYjuice and some combos of flavors that can only be obtained there or at vapor renu (also the same people...lol) as far as I know there is no difference in concentration---hope someone can get verification on this but the mixup seems to be with the fact that some of the flavors are straight flavors (flavorwest) and some were made in the mixing stage when they came up with actual recipes combining the flavors. Just because they are combos doesn't mean they aren't same strength as the singles they are made from. I've bought both and don't notice anything being weaker.

If anyone contacts the vendor to get the facts instead of speculating that would be great. I have never heard of a flavoring company selling some of their flavorings allready diluted for fear of mistakes and this would be news to me but might explain why in some people's experience they felt FW was weak. I don't share that opinion but the more flavorings i am trying by them the more I do want a larger size and it would be nice to have an official statement from the vendor and put the matter to rest.

Look this thread seems to be going in the wrong direction.I did not post this to flame a vendor just to,.
1)Is it cost effective in the long run
2)Would it be cost effective to stock up on this much flavoring,if the flavors spoil after a certain time
3)If the flavors are diluted to a certain degree,it just seemed too good to be true to me that 4oz's was only $7-$8.00 when 30ml's cost almost $5.

That is all,as i posted i would have not asked this question if i had not stumbled on the site today by accident.

EDIT: If you have not noticed,....i do like flavorwest for my DIY,and the reason i would like larger quantities if i knew it would not spoil after a certain time.
