I used to make DIY juice maybe a year ago. I got busy, or rich, or something happened and I stopped doing it completely and went back to buying juice. One of my favorite juices is Ecto Chill from Juicy Vapor. I could never figure out how they were making that juice. Now I see Flavor West has Ecto Cooler flavoring and in the reviews somebody said it tastes exactly like the Juicy Vapor flavor. With the impending legislation (which I just found out about this week as I had been mostly ignoring ECF for the last 8 months) I'm going back to DIY juice. I still had a ton of base liquid... PG, VG, and nic. Mixed up a recipe from Scubadatdan's (close enough) calculator last night and it's awesome. That was all I needed to push me back to DIY. That and being out of store bought juice for a week waiting for Juicy Vapor to have an Easter sale. Been vaping schwag juice I had laying around (gross). I'm ordering several 4oz bottles directly from FW now to make some of my favorite juices. Thanks to everybody for the info in this thread. End of really long post...

Look this thread seems to be going in the wrong direction.I did not post this to flame a vendor just to,.
1)Is it cost effective in the long run
2)Would it be cost effective to stock up on this much flavoring,if the flavors spoil after a certain time
3)If the flavors are diluted to a certain degree,it just seemed too good to be true to me that 4oz's was only $7-$8.00 when 30ml's cost almost $5.

That is all,as i posted i would have not asked this question if i had not stumbled on the site today by accident.

EDIT: If you have not noticed,....i do like flavorwest for my DIY,and the reason i would like larger quantities if i knew it would not spoil after a certain time.

I've only been around for 6 months so I don't know if its a new trend or not but have noticed at every vendor I buy from or have checked, the smallest size is the most expensive. That's no different than groceries actually. In the case of juice or flavorings though, the packaging costs would not be the reason so all I can think of its that its because customers usually buy the smallest size to test first before investing in the larger sizes. When ordering the largest size, the vendor pretty much knows you are and, most likely, will be a repeat customer. I could be wrong about the reasoning but, like I said, its my speculation. Also, each vendor I've seen has a few items they make their biggest profits on to give competitive prices on others and that's why I'll buy an atty here and battery there or cartos here and drip tips there so figuring that's what they're doing with small sized juices, I don't think size pricing is indicative of quality. They want you coming back for the larger size. Giving you an inferior test size is not going to accomplish that.

FW has put out some nice new flavors over the past 6 months. When I try a flavor I usually buy it from ECX. If I like it, and think I'll buy it again and again I will order the big bottle direct from FW. To save on shipping, I ordered many bottles at a time.

I ordered Monstrous, Ecto cooler, Sweedish Fish, pink champagne, doublemint gum, Root Beer, Jungle Juice, Red Soda, Exreme Ice and I think a couple more.

NONE of these tasted diluted in any way. In fact a few of them tasted stronger than the ECX. I noticed they were freshly mixed and think that ecx probbaly had an older batch with those. YMMV

I asked Jason about this directly for you guys, and got the reply I expected to see! :)

Here's what he had to say in a nutshell.

All the Flavor West flavoring is the same in all of the storefronts. And dilution is the same across the board for all flavors as well!

Additionally, some of the stores offer flavoring combinations that are not sold at Flavor West

Yea the last order i got from ECX had some dates labeled with august 2012,some with the FW,but mostly on the TE tobaccos.I just like knowing i can now get the flavors i want in a larger bottle and not worry about running out.

I got the same basic answer Aurora and he did claim all the sites that I mentioned as part of the FW family. The only difference was he said of course he could not guarantee what a 3rd party did to their flavors they sold. He could guarantee that all FW flavors you buy from them are the same strength. I don't think it went off track either. Just trying to clear up misinformation being spread---now we all know.

Ya, I specifically mentioned them all in my inquiry too, plus in his replies they're all listed in the signature anyway, but I did make sure to mention all of his flavoring storefronts in my questions and noted I was asking about the flavoring specifically/only and not the pre-mixed juices.

So as long as we buy from him it'll always be the same flavoring and percentage in the bottle, no matter the size.

If you actually do some math with your % of flavoring then one 4oz bottle could roughly make 500 - 1,000 ml of e-juice. that's like 1-2years of e-juice. Depending how you vape of course.

Edit: Just wanted to add that Flavorwest is an excellent company regardless of different taste in flavors. They have yet to disappoint in quality or delivery. They hit my excellence bell every time I order from them.

Would you mind if i asked why you are unsure if you will use the untouched flavors??? I just would like all the info. before, what it is sounding like,a waste of money buying it in larger bottles,or some just do not like flavorwest??

I've made maybe one bottle with the Watermelon and I haven't opened the Cinnamon Roll. I went through 10ml of each before I bought the 4oz. I grew tired of both flavors which is why I don't use them. Overall I haven't had any bad experiences with FW flavors and honestly most of them are really good. The only downside is having to use ~20% flavor opposed to ~10% for Cap or TPA.

This why they have the DIY line in my previous post. I didn't do the math but thank you. My point is made. For anybody still dabbling and not supplying family members and friends

Tried out the Hawaiian Punch last night, make a 5ml batch at 5% with one drop of FW Sweetener. It rocks, probably my favorite so far. I'm gonna try the Ecto and FruitStripe again at 5%. I'm thinking I over did them first time. I never really liked most of the fruity flavors I've tried and I'm starting to think they were just too strong for my tastes. I'm thinking this might open a whole new categories of juices for me.

I found that 5% was too weak.I tend to start mine at about 10% and work up to a max of 15%.I have a couple that are great at around 7-8% banana nut bread and coumarin pipe w/ hint of hazlenut.

A new category like fruit is nice and big. Good going. I'm vaping a Tuscany tobacco because it smells taste a lot like a strong tea. Gives me ideas and tobacco flavor is the very last on my list. Ya never know though! So long as they aren't too tobaccoy
It was gift. They did not know. And I like it!

I use 18mg 70/30 and none of the 50+ FW/MBV flavors I've used are good over 13%
Almost all are very strong at 12.5%.

What ratio/nic strength do you get good flavor at 20% with?
