Well, it's just plain wrong to charge someone for a service or a good and then not deliver--I wonder how many people have been charged a buck and what exactly happened to that money... o_O

For the record, I was verified a long time ago and I don't remember paying for it, I think that process involved eBay or something.

I can answer this :)
There wasn't a $1 at the beginning. That was implemented because PayPal changed things and J0ker couldn't verify the account. Members suggested the $1 transaction.
(and PayPal keeps a chunk of that $1 - if I remember right (I can't find it) it's .66 cents that actually went to j0ker's account)

When I spoke with j0ker last May he said there were less than a dozen hanging out in the wind.

Oh Classy, dear. This whole saga took me back--years back, to the time when ECF was a small place and we all traded pretty much everything with each other--bits and bobs, loose cartos, 3 ml juice samples, pieces of ss mesh, strands of silica wick and God only knows what else. No money ever changed hands--we all worked on honor system...

But then, as the forum grew, bad people showed up, inevitably. Remember this thread? That's why the whole verification system started. Worth reading for the new members who don't know why it was even implemented in the first place. :(

I remember feeling like a total noob when I joined ECF. It was, and is, a great group of people here, but I've never been very social. There were all these experienced advanced modders, people mixing their own juice, it was overwhelming so I stayed a lurker for the most part. I wish I'd gotten involved more in discussions, experiments, and with the community in hindsight. I really believed back then that vaping was here to stay, and that nothing could stop it. I was so naive, excited, and hopeful. I wonder where what the state of vaping will be in five years?

Ditto.

Pretty much the same as today except 10 times more expensive. One liter of 10% nicotine base will cost $3000-5000, depending on all those new proposed federal, local, sin, and extra save-the-children taxes.

Except that if everything is ten times more expensive, there will probably be a much smaller inventory of stuff to choose.

We do? Then let's tawk, Uncs!

Maybe some time later today . . . :mail:

(Are you breaking up with us?) ;)

Absolutely - NOT . . . Ya' both can't get away that easily . . .

Methinks he's thinking that whatever we pull out of the For Sale box might be a higher class of device than what might likely come out.

We'll probably do one just to "feed the monster" (so to speak). In these days of price compression, it will be something we don't mind letting go for a song and tip of the cap. ;)

AH - If only . . . Just looking for some expert sage advice and don't wanted to compete with the BEST . . . Just Sayin' . . .

Ok, but YOU sing and *I* tip!

NOW - NOW . . . Ya' should know better by now . . . It's Tipping the Song at the same time that really works and gets the prized results . . .

When a woman says "We need to talk", be very careful Uncle.

Just saying.

AH - SO Right . . . SO BEEN THERE DONE THAT . . .

However, when "UNCLE" say's "We NEED to talk", it is not necessarily over a cup of coffee . . .

Could just be a "Discussion" of shorts too . . . .
