buying thread adaptors

this is kind of a continuation of my recent thread about ego chargers.

right now i need a 510-808/901 adapter
and a 808//901-510 adapter
for the ego battery (the first to allow me to use my v4l stuff, the second to put on the battery charger so i dont have to remove the 1st adapter from the battery every time i charge it)

the place (vapehut) i ordered the battery from doesnt carry adapters
i went to madvapes and they have the 510to808 adapter but not vice versa

wheres a good place to get this kind of hardware?
maybe an Ace hardware type place for vaping
the blocking program where im at lets some sites through but not others
i cant get liberty flights here for example
any other suggestions of places i can take a look at

No - thread adapters are not for chargers. And the fast charger cables of fat batteries, even if they happen to be the right polarity so they won't instantly melt the other battery, still put out too many mA of power (like 420mA) and will damage slim batteries.

Suck it up - buy the right chargers. I like to use multiport USB to AC adapters that provide 5v and at least 500mA at each port. That way I can use one electrical socket and have chargers for multiple models on it and charge them all at the same time if I want.


If you want adapters to put another model's atomizer or cartomizer on a battery then Goodprophets has the lowest price (99 cents) and attys/cartos don't care about a battery's electrical polarity. But note - again there are restrictions. Only the 450mah+ batteries should use LR stuff. Slim batteries should use standard resistance single coils around 2.5 to 3 ohms. Big 450mah+ batteries can use standard or low resistance.

no, i intend to use the ego battery on the ego charger that is intended for it

bot in order to use my 808 cartomizers on that battery i need a 510to808adapter

to then charge the bat i can simply remove the adapter
or i can put a 808to510 on the charger so i dont have to remove the adapter thats on the battery

As Dormouse mentioned, Good prophets is a good source for a 510batt to 901/808 atty adapter.

I wouldn't bother adding a second adapter, since the evolution you're describing would, it seems, end up adding one more part while not saving any steps. When you need to recharge, just unscrew the carto and adapter from the ego as one piece (in other words, just unscrew the adapter from the ego, leave the carto on the adapter).

unfortunately i finally found a store: carolina vapes GREAT PLACE by the way, and ordered the parts 5 minutes ago.
each adapter was 2.00
the shipping was 45 cents, so not a lot lost
ill just toss the unneeded adapter

Adapters are always good to have, even if you don't use it right now a few months down the road you may find yourself wanting to try a KR808D-1 threaded device, and then you'll want it to be able to use your 510 cartos/atties.

Sorry - I misunderstood and thought you want to charge V4L on Ego charger.

And BTW - I use both V4L WOW cartos and the Bloogplanet/SmokelessImage ones which have a horizontal coil so they're bit cooler at the lip end.
