In California Vapor King packages say:

"WARNING: This product contains nicotine, an addictive substance known in the state of California to cause birth defects and cancer. Be aware of the risks associated with this product prior to use"

I know a guy who bought some Vapor Kings and freaked out on this.. even though it was already explained to him the there are trace amounts of carcinogins found in nicotine. He was encouraged to read everything he could about e-cigs and even had links to the FAQ and heath and medical forums we have here.

Yet the guy gets his package, sees this and freaks out. Could someone help me find links that will quell his fears about this Ca warning?

Thanks.

Yeah I could have brought that up. If yo read the thread you'll see that I bent over backwards getting good info and links out there and telling people to read everything for themselves. The guy even said he did some research so he decided to try them. I know I did all I could I just feel bad that the guy has a problem. I really want this to work for him for his sake.

Im sure its just a liability thing. It seems like just about anything these days can cause cancer. I was reading this article the other day and it was saying that talking on your cell phone very frequently could possibly be as dangerous as smoking cigarettes. They were talking to this wall street type dude that talks on the phone constantly and he has a brain tumor right behind his ear on the side he uses to talk on the phone. And his doctor is saying his cell phone use could be responsible, he said he talks on the cell phone ~4hrs a day.

California has extreme labeling laws. This product may contain lead labels are on just about everything there too. ...

I'll second that. I was at my local Stater Bros. supermarket the other week, glanced over at the balsamic vinegar and red wine vinegar section and saw this message:

Homeish now
California puts silly warning labels on everything...handmade pottery coffee mugs carry a warning label.

Should note ecigs...are now to be regulated as a tobacco product. I'm sure someone in CA saw that and said if it's a tobacco product it has to have this label according to xyz law all tobacco products must have this label.

Wouldn't be easier for California to label products: "This product is known by the State of California to be safe." And to tell everyone that if something does have the label assume it causes cancer. That would save the manufacturers a lot of money in printing costs. The one or two remaining products would have to print the label.

Good for you it ain't. Addictive, it sure is. Dangerous in concentrated form, absolutely. Cause cancer, I don't think so. I guess they believe in the principle of CYA.

It never ceases to amaze me when someone that smokes, is unsure about the safety of an ecig. First of all, this just goes to show how gullible the masses are in hearing all the hype out there from the FDA and all the news agencies that have reported it.

Second of all, anyone that smokes and thinks e-cigs could possibly be more dangerous enough and NOT switch to them is just a fool in my opinion. Juice is made up of three things. PG/VG, Flavor, and Nicotine. It isn't burning material creating tar and all the other things added to tobacco in cigarettes.

I will never understand why this guy has an issue with nicotine if he already smokes. Whether he vapes nicotine or smokes it, going on his logic after reading that label, wouldn't he still get cancer, assuming nicotine causes cancer? Duh... wake up dude.

...the amazing thing is, nicotine has never been shown to cause cancer all by itself...heating/burning it at 600*F causes a chemical change into substances which can cause cancer along with some zillion and a half other carcinogens in funkarette smoke...and let's not EVEN get started on the harm in tar...SHEEEESH:facepalm:................

Yeah but we were all fools one time.
I had a friend ask me for a light an put the cigarette back in the packet when I offered my Zippo. "The fumes from them lighters will kill" you was his reason. I guess he saved himself one cigs worth of risk anyway.
An addicts logic is not based on reality.
