I'm one of the lucky ones that high PG doesn't bother me. High VG leaves a old greasy MickyD's french fry taste in my mouth. I actually like my juices at 80PG/20VG mix.

I'm also lucky that PG doesn't bother me, but VG makes my chest feel very tight. I have to order my juices with a higher PG percentage. For the few juices I have that only come in high VG, I have to drip them so I can watch my VG intake, otherwise, I have a hard time breathing for a while.

1.28 #1 just pour it in the top..put a tooth pick in the bottom if you want..I never use a needle...diy is easy...

I've poured my VG into the top of the syringe and measured it that way too. Sometimes it's easier and less messy than trying to get it out with the syringe.

I made DIY very simple for myself by making a few bottles of base liquid at whatever PG/VG ratio I want to start with and the nicotine added in.
I use 1ml syringes for flavoring and a 10ml syringe for adding the base liquid.

I add my flavoring first and then squirt the base liquid in, shake and vape or steep and vape EZ PZ
the final mix ratio will depend on how much flavoring you add and wheather its a PG (like most are) or a VG base flavoring. either way a few % up or down is a non factor to me.

walmart and most drug stores will give you the 10ml syringe free for the asking if you go to the druggist and aske them for a "medicine dispensing" syringe for giving your kid liquid tylenol or benedryl

I plan on mixing up some bottles of what I want for my base then just add flavors later on. Not concerned if the PG/VG ratio or nic level fluctuates a bit as it will be close.

I did that too. It would be one thing if I was trying to sell juice, but for my own use, i don't care if the percentages of PG/VG/Nic aren't exact.

The pipettes should be acurate. We use the 1 ml for measuring our acids to adjust the pH in lab samples. We are looking to add amounts under 1ml so they are marked off in .1 ml increments.

That's good to know. They are so inexpensive, that I wondered about their accuracy.

Yup...CASAA member.

RG... not sure exactly what white chocolate is. I consider it more like cocoa butter or oil. I found one great White Choc. flavoring but it is really different in that it is more like actual cocoa butter in appearance and taste. It is more viscous and has the smell and taste of actual cocoa butter. It just doesn't solidify at normal temps. I am not sure if he sells it during the winter months or not though. I have had no problems with it in recipes or the tanks. It is from Killer Juice. I use it in a tea vape that is black tea, white choc, and mint.

I bought 1 ml syringes from Vape Mall. I buy several flavorings from them. Curly gave a great tip when I first started into DIY.. get some clear nail polish and coat the outsides of the syringes so the markings don't wear off. I will also say that any flavoring that goes into a syringe and makes the interior of the syringe swell or cloud will kill plastic tanks later. I managed to save the syringe by cleaning it out immediately but now I know.

PG/VG is rough with a needle. I do mostly 30 ml bottles of juice and know where my fill line is and after I get my flavorings in the bottle, just pour to my fill line. All for personal family use so I don't have to be that exact.

I ordered my supplies from WL. I got the syringes but didn't order the needles with them...Opps. So, I went to the local pharmacy and bought a few large gauge syringes from them. They work okay but on the thicker juices like vg its hard to draw fluid up in them.

you can gently warm the VG in a cup of warm water or in the microwave for a few seconds on the lowest power setting and it will pour like water

I did add some sweet cream and a lil bit of cotton candy for sweetener. I think I just started to high...like about 10%..lol. Oh well, I'm going to order some different chocolate and try it again.

Chocolates, Coffee's and sweeteners you want to start really low % values and work up from there.
a good idea is to mix single flavors to begin with, you learn what % ratios work with that flavor and mfg, once you get one nailed you can try another and nail that one, when you get that technique down you can add some of your verified flavors together to make a combination flavor.

trying multi combos in the beginning is almost always a failure, also when you see recipies online its a 50/50 chance you can make it the waqy the OP did and of course taste is subjective...
Good Luck!

Random question...
Has anyone ever experienced headaches from high pg juice?

I get them occasionally and I do believe they are attributed to one or another of the ingredients. many of the juices I make are very high VG mostly 70% to 90% so in my case I would not think it to be the PG. my wife gets headaches all the time and blames my Vape.

This ^^^ this ^^^ this

If you want to make a combination flavor, make a single flavor bottle of each component flavor, nail the %

Then mix the results in different percentages a tank at a time to see what works together.
Worst case you dump a tank of juice if it's horrible.

I never thought to mention the pipettes to Mac, but I've used them myself to take out VG and PG. I don't know whether they are as accurate as syringes, but they do help to get the liquid out of larger bottles!

they are also, for the most part a 1 shot deal as they are almost impossible and a hassle to clean, a syringe is an easy rinse.
also apply clear tape to teh numbers as they will wash off w/i a few uses. lube them w/pg or vg after they dry.
the syringes will become hard to draw up and down after several uses

That's probably just a bit more than I need to have on hand.:D

I have some pipettes and almost used them but wasn't sure how accurate they would be so put them away again. They would be good for reach way down into a bottle to transfer into something smaller.

If you DIY alot or go thru a lot of juice you will be surprised at how quick you'll start pricing the 1 gallon jugs.
the first 2 times I bought 1 quart bottles I though I was all set until I used them up so quick vaping, practicing and testing.
most days I will vape thru a minimum of 20ml up to 30ml of juice Ha Ha!

hoping to be able to do some mixing this weekend - need to make sure I have plenty of time - just getting started with this I go very slow
wanted to do it last weekend but wasn't feeling too good

It is/can be a time consuming hobby, just take it slow and work with single flavors at the beginning. once you perfect a few flavors it will give you not only confidence but a juice supply to vape and save money while you develop others

Mac one of the best pieces of advice I got for DIY is to write out your recipe on paper and check off what you add as you add each ingredient. That way if the phone rings or whatever you don't end up adding double nic or flavoring.

Thats good advice.
I have developed a system where I start with my flavorings on the right side of the table and as I add one I put it over on the left side.
making a base liquid will also eliminate 3 steps and less handling of nicotine.
If you have a set Nic value its the way to go as you only handle it once.

I don't get headaches, per se, but I had one high PG juice that tasted great but made me slightly nauseous after a while. It might have been an overdose of nic, though, as it was a higher level than I normally vape.

Many flavors work very well as single flavor eliquid, nice to vape and very easy to mix with others.

I make a rather good Kentucky Bourbon (single flavor), good to vape as is and it mixes well as a accent flavor with Coffee, Espresso, and NET tobacco. You can also add a touch of Lemon to the Bourbon for a change up, or a touch of Bourbon to a Lemonade. It will actually mix well with Belgian Waffle for a one of a kind vape flavor.
