Just to let everyone know: the MVP 3.0 solves both of those problems.

So they moved the usb connection? That's a big step up! I do still have good feelings for my MVP 2.0, even if it is getting old and not quite so satisfying. How is the the 510 connection on the new ones? My old one doesn't like the pin on my subtank. (The subtank has a little springy extension on the pin).

See, now you guys are starting to give me that itch! Yes, I was thinking about picking one or two up.... but, like Joan, I've been doing pretty well with my Aerotanks. But if I pick up a subtank then the flavor will be better than the aeros and the aeros will stop being loved....

But with two sizes of the subtanks, if you run out of stock coils, you will still be able to build your own and use it!!!

Even though I seldom use them, I would still never sell or give away my PT3's with the aerotank bases. They were, and still are, great tanks, and I can see myself using them again!

The reviews are only beginning to come out, so I don't know for sure about the 510 connection.: by all accounts it is spring loaded. It also sits flush now, so those using ego threaded clearos will have to use the included 510-ego adapter. The battery is supposed to be rated at 3800 mah and goes up to 9 volts/30 watts.

Sigh. Indeed, I see a pair each of subtank minis and nanos in my future....

I feel sort of responsible for you buying the MVP Joan. I remember that I had just gotten my MVP when you joined ECF. I had only been here for a few months, and I was just upgrading from Egos and Spinners. To me, at the time, it felt like the perfect device. It was such a big step up from what I had been using. It lasted me for a few days, had VV/VW, and went all the way up to 11 watts! Wow so much better than the Spinners! I was also thinking of getting into rebuilding, and it read ohms. I could also recharge it when I was on a long car ride using my cellphone chord. I couldn't imagine anyone not having good luck with it, and I remember telling you about how great it was. I felt kind of guilty when you didn't love it like I did.

I'm still not sorry I bought mine, it kept me satisfied for a long time, and I still use it while driving because my Spinners died a long time ago. Only problem is that now, when I go to use it, I don't get a very satisfying vape. I got spoiled by my better stuff.

I don't think I would ever buy another device with a proprietary battery. Even though my MVP is still going a year later, it seems like such a waste that when the battery doesn't hold a charge any more, the whole device will be dead. With the E-Mech, I can just put new batteries in.

(For anyone wanting the E-Mech, Bruce can special order them for you, just pm him, that's how I got mine, at a very good price)!

Kath, don't feel that way. Everyone said they were a great device, even my son who had one. I had tried his a few times and it gave me fits on just how to hold it and fire it at the same time... he told me it would get better as I used one. I got to where I could hold and fire with one hand but really hurt my hands and after a couple weeks I refused to use it any more and relegated it to the draw of misfit devices. I should have known better after using son's. It was just part of the learning curve I had to go through. My curve was a lot less painful than some I have watched.

Yeah, I remember when Bruce started with the E Mechs... good price but I already had mine.

I have one of the version 2 that they made stand a little better and took the speaker and alarm clock feature off. I use the clock all the time and would have used the alarm. It still had 510 issues and ended up having to fix the gasket sorta... tank later barfed and got juice in there and killed the display...son cleaned it up and resoldered the burnt traces and it is as good as new. My other one is the latest version with the nicer button and stands up better... these are the ones Bruce has... like yours Kath and I haven't had one bit of trouble with it. It stands up better than earlier versions too. I saw these before they were on the market and even though I thought they were ugly, decided it would be a good device for me and it really is. I am done looking at devices because of Dovpo. They feel so good in the hand, easy to use, and the quality is there.

same problems that the PT2 and 3 had. Lucky a aerotank base will fit it and stop the sometimes leaking and improve airflow.
Now I only know that version 1 of the aerotank base works. version 2 and 3 should but I have not tried it yet.

As lots of us found out, replacing bases on the old trophy, PT2 and 3 regular sizes and the Davide improves and renews them all.

It's easier than the smaller coils, that is for sure.
Still, replacing the wicking with cotton , really Japanese cotton since it is already flat. Cut to just a little more and wrap. lots of you tube videos on it.

Had a friend do it and the taste was better. I hear Aspire is going with cotton soon on their coils.
Does not mean they will, I just heard from a second uncle from a third marriage, related to some joker who is suppose to be a friend of a friend of a son of a daughter of the owner of something that has nothing to do with anything....

But it would be nice.....

1/29 #1 I wonder if it is worth it to rebuild an aspire nautilus?

I have one broken down on my work table. I plan on trying to make a coil and wrap with cotton over the weekend. I did a youtube search and if those challenged folks can do it I know I can..
I also plan to drill the holes just a bit bigger to feed the cotton better.

For some reason, I can't stop thinking about strawberry juices... when I first started vaping, I searched for a good one and it seemed they always tended to do weird things to my taste buds... always started getting a tinny taste in my mouth and would stop for fear of vapers tongue. Then found a strawberry milkshake that didn't do that but decided that strawberry wasn't something I wanted to vape much anyway. Now thinking about it again.

Once I got done with the cig-a-likes and found the ego knockoffs, I feel my learning curve went pretty well too. I quickly moved to Spinners and Protank 3's, then got the MVP and got into rebuilding. Each step was a good one, and they all happened within a couple of months. Within a few weeks, I had my first mech mod, and now I have a nice collection of mods and toppers. The only real fiasco was the CoolFire 1, which didn't work right out of the box. That was a wasted $50. I got that before the MVP, and it almost ruined me toward regulated devices.

I really like my E-Mech, and am surprised they aren't more popular. In the two vaping stores I went to in NY, both owners looked mine over and asked me about them. They were quite impressed with it too.

I need to reset the date and time on mine though. I do take the batteries out and put them on the charger every month or so rather than using the USB cable, and the last time I did it, I didn't set them up again.

Thanks for letting us know about the newer bases fitting, Tick. Like I said, I still haven't completely abandoned my Protanks. :)

Following along the lines of protank base replacements thread earlier.. A base off a Protank mini will work on the Protank. Works good when using a MVP or atop a EGO spinner. I'd go out on a limb and say the newer mini version will work too.

You can put a ProTank base on a ProTank mini as well. Looks weird, but hey if can't find your adaptor and want to run a mini on your istick.

I am really not sure why they weren't more popular either altho I remember everyone questioning the Transformer image on them. Later versions come blank with decals. Even I questioned that but with the silver ones, the image doesn't really show plus your hand is over it. The newer one is blank and just left it that way so I knew which I had. I have let 3 people play with mine and all have ended up buying one and loving it.

Clock settings aren't difficult at all. It does a lot and all straight forward. Vaping a Kayfun 4 with a so called chocolate pudding juice that doesn't taste of chocolate, more of a nutty creamy thing... not my thing. I have to return it when the tank is empty... guess I am of use to the kid for something

Yeah, they are a great spot for flavors, and i like that they carry so many brands,so if i want 3 different brands,i don't have to pay shipping to 3 different places haha.Great prices too,10ml samples are like $1.79 for tfa, capella, and flavor west, and they also have flavourart and inawera for like $3.25 or something. They carry alot of the stuff in the bigger 4oz. bottles now too.
