But, Jim said that the size of hole on the wick should be as big as the wick hole on the DID, isn't it?
If so, the wick would touch the wick hole in any way.

As Fuzzi mentioned, 90% of problems are caused by an improperly oxidised wick. If your wick is properly oxidised, you have nothing to worry about. ;)

While it is true that a properly oxidized wick should be able to touch any portion of the tank without a short, often people wind up with less than a 100% fully oxidized wick. The method I described decreases the potential for shorts as less of the wick is actually touching anything. Still not foolproof but your odds are better.

LOL, I GOT IT YESTERDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!
I followed Rip Trippers video to wrap my coil, it succeed.
Also, i remembered martinc said it can't touch the base.
First, It had few hot spots, i fixed it with some adjustment.
But, it smells metallic.
I was wet burning it to let the coil to be oxidized.
then, I kept wet burning it for 2/3 per tank twice and made adjustments.
Finally, it works!!!!!!!
It is @1.7 ohm and @3.7V on my Provari V2!!!!!!!
Thank you so much for all of you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:vapor:

It will continue to get better and better as the wick/coil 'seasons' and you fine-tune your techniques. It's one of those devices that is capable of producing anything from a horrid experience to an unparalleled one depending on user skill and experience.

I would love to hear a little bit more about this method.
Is there a link or video?

Thanks, Katz

I hear a guy said he used Rocailles Glass Seed Beads to avoid hot spots, did anyone try it?

I use glass beads mainly to keep the mesh aligned,if it wicks like mad, some juice keeps itself inside the beads and wet the coil enough to avoid hot spots but sometimes it just doesnt work at all (specially if the mesh fails at wicking)
