Also wouldn't boiling a pot and having any kind of steam in the house cause the same sort of damage if they really want to be that nit picky about it
Hello & Welcome
If your up to annoying the landlord, get the following diffuser and if the landlord calls you out on vaping tell him, this is my air diffuser..... Ohhh,,, and this is my portable air diffuser...
Then ask him which scent he likes better, Vanilla Bean or the Musk.
Most grumpy pr!@ks will pick the Musk.....
I'm pretty sure there is no Musk ejuice.........
24 hour notice is a legal requirement in Minnesota. Can’t speak to other states
So you're vaping unflavored? Shouldn't be an issue, then, I'd imagine.Good idea the problem is my mother is very highly allergic to things with perfume so not allowed air fresheners or anything like that
Yeah I’ve heard it’s pretty awful that way over there. Most property isn’t even sold it’s all 99 year leases. There’s actually a term: freehold for when you actually own your property. Reason #1 never t to move to the UK. The landed gentry never actually went away.I'm from the UK landlords don't really have any regulation here whatsoever basically do what they like
That's true. Like they'll keep your deposit anyway because we can't afford to fight them. I've been on both sides. Either way, vaping is not really an issue unless they catch you.I'm from the UK landlords don't really have any regulation here whatsoever basically do what they like
I rent, I clean the walls around my main vape area every 2 months, clean all my walls in fall and spring. One of the first things I do when moving into a place is do the scratch test with my fingernail on the paint and if it's cheap I'll grab a couple cases of beer, some friends and repaint before moving in, I absolutely hate cheap paint it can look horrible after just a few months of regular wear and tear. Most landlords love me, generally I like to find a cheap place that looks like crap, invest 1-2k into it and fix it up and enjoy cheap rent for a couple years and when I move out the place is always better than when I moved in, I usually paint a few months before moving out, have it move in ready as well to protect my deposit.Speaking as a landlord:
E-cigarettes will stink up a room eventually IF the room has no ventilation. It takes a few months rather than a few hours, it smells like bad air freshener rather than cigarettes, and it’s water soluble so washing the walls will remove it.
However landlords have to constantly repaint and understandably tend to use cheap paint that often cannot take washing, and they really don’t like to paint the ceiling.
I vape in my own unit, but I can see why a landlord wouldn’t want the bother.
You are the dream tenant. Much better than campfire in the living room guy (no, really.)I rent, I clean the walls around my main vape area every 2 months, clean all my walls in fall and spring. But that's just me I've seen many absolutely horrible tenants.
It may seem insane the decorating or changing anything of the interior including positive changes can be seen as a violation of your contract and could even have you evicted in the ukI rent, I clean the walls around my main vape area every 2 months, clean all my walls in fall and spring. Everyone’s definition of nice is different though. It can make it smell quite a bit. Drastically less than cigarettes though.Surely it wouldn't, it's nothing like smoke? would make the place smell nice wouldn't it!
getting approval is key, always ask my landlord if the color i've chosen is alright, usually a neutral color, many places around here won't allow dark colors..It may seem insane the decorating or changing anything of the interior including positive changes can be seen as a violation of your contract and could even have you evicted in the uk
Actually, the majority of properties are full freehold. Only flats (apartments?) are majority leasehold. Anyway, we certainly do have issues with landlords - I always returned deposits when I rented my house apart from (you guessed it) deliberate smoking indoors. Vaping will be targeted, people still talk of 'nicotine stains' rather than 'smoke stains' but hey, we can't change the mind set of the general public.
