Can I rinse out coils?

This is probably a stupid question, but I'll ask anyway.

If I want to use a different flavor e-liquid in a tank, can I rinse out the coil to remove as much of the previous flavor as possible? If so, should I dry it as well?

BTW - I have an innokin endura t18.

I would just re-wick it and fire it a couple of times and brush it off; verses getting it wet. Just to be safe

The endura takes replaceable coil heads. You can rinse and dry it but the new flavor may have an "off" taste to it. But considering you can get a 5pack coil for around $7 I would dedicate one coil per flavor.

Menthols and mints generally permanently taint a coil unless you rewick. Some lighter flavors mix well until the replacement flavor takes over.

If you rinse, you should dry as well or you'll be vaping whatever you rinsed with.

From experience, you can rinse the coils out, but my fiance and I generally just vape it till its as low as possible without burning the coils and refill with new juice. Unless you are rinsing with an alcohol (everclear), water just makes the flavors muted and generally causes the coils/wicks to burn up. Your vape may taste funky for a bit but it'll level out unless you are vaping extreme flavors like menthols or fruits. We vape tobaccos and I vape a very mild smooth mint so it all works for us. You just need to play around with how you do things till you find what works for you.

Yes, but with warm water. Not Dawn and warm water. Unless you like the taste of soap. The easiest thing to do if you mix up juices, just save the coil until the next time you vape that.

Yes you can. I used to do that all the time with the silica coils in my old kanger stuff. However, the newer cotton coils just don't perform the same after they've gotten soaked with water even after drying. I've heard a blow dryer can fluff them back up, but I haven't tried it. Usually I just empty the tank and rinse it out and dry it. Wipe any excess juice off the base and the outside of the coil and refill with the new juice. You get a couple puffs of the old stuff, then a couple of a weird mixture then it's all the new flavor.

Not a stupid question at all, and boy do I wish it worked. In my experience, no coil has ever been the same after rinsing out. I guess it couldn't hurt to try the above tips and see with this one, but I can't imagine it ever being quite right. I just stick to similar flavors with this one since they're cheap.

A lot of times I'll remove the coil, wipe off the outside as best I can, rinse the tank out and just leave the coil itself alone. A few vapes will draw the new juice in and get the old out. Sure it'll contaminate the new juice technically but if you wiped off excess and rinsed the tank it'll be minimal.

I have a T18, confirming that cleaning the heads is likely not worth the trouble.

There's quite a ton of wicking material in there, so there's a big opportunity for water to soak up in that wicking, and it'd likely make the first few minutes of vaping on that just-washed head rather uncomfortable.

Just swap the head for sure. They're cheap enough/last pretty long.
