But how much work will it take for me to get this perfect? ;)
It took the second wick (the one I told you about ;) ) and the third coil for mine to be perfect, and it was worth it. I keep saying that I'm laughing out loud because of the vapor production, and it's true. The entire experience has enlightened me and I can only relate it to the first couple of drags from a cigarette (from what I remember). I don't know how consistant I can keep it working like this yet; time will tell.

Good to know! I read somewhere you said that the flavor beats carto tanks. I want to quote that mess and put it in MY sig. :p

I'm actually... starting to taste my juice..! It's intermittent though. I might switch juices and see what happens... I hadn't vaped this lot in my normal dripper so it could definitely be the juice.

A new member was so appreciative of me helping him get started with his first cartotank, he offered to make me a mod stand, too. I need to find his PM and see if the offer is still good.

People far more experienced than me said it can take some time for the wick to "season". So it should only get better.

I leveraged DIY juice for mine. ;)

Yeah, I'm expecting this lack of flavor to be my break-in of the wick. That or my juice needs a bit more time to ripen. :D

My coils glow beautifully so I expect this will just get better from here! Really can't wait to make my own wick though, this one seems kind of thin.

The hole diameter for the ZAP might be different than the one in the AGA, my wick fills the hole up.

Sorry if the images are large.

She ate like she was starving. Her belly "swoll" as big & hard as a softball. :D

Cute puppy! She's a doll!

Struggled for hours with the ZAP. Would taste good, then bad. Fiddle with the coil, try again. Rinse, repeat.

I feel like I've spilled so much juice I've basically taken a bath in it.

Eventually I just tore everything out and started from scratch (I had ripped the mesh in a couple places lol).

So far, knock on wood.... This is performing well. Fewer wraps for nearly the same ohm (about 1.9ish). Got it up and going faster. And I can TASTE my juice. On a fresh wick!

The tilting is a bit annoying.. I'm hoping playing around with different mesh configurations means I won't have to tilt so darn much.

The draw is good for me.. Almost a little tight... o_O

The experience is on par with other gennies I've tried.. Just a very smooth vape experience.

And it's a darn good looking tank. My ProVari is complete.

Now, back to vaping. And pondering. And hopefully no more rebuilding. And a little less fiddling.

I'll get this....

My AGA has been working flawlessly since the last coil I built about 3 days ago. The 2.0 ohm coil seems perfect for my tastes. I've been vaping it exclusively, ignoring the cartotanks. I've tried three juices in it and noticed a difference in the vapor production in all three juices even though they are allegedly the same 50/50 pg/vg ratio from the same vendor. The vanilla flavor from Dripeez just makes tons of vapor without even trying. I'm definitely noticing I'm going thru juice faster than with the cartotanks.

"Sweet spot" realized! :rickroll:

Looks like I am not the only one to jump into RBA's recently! Picked up an AGA-T and spent two days kinda on and off playing with making the wick and coil. Got it set up decently I think, vaped pretty well... could be better maybe. Hard thing for me is recognizing hot spots.... I see how it works in videos but still trying to get the hang of identifying and fixing them.

Also scored a Zen Standard and Sugar Skull (both retail) last week. Think I am tapping out on buying mods for awhile.
