Can i used flanged cartos on a carto tank that doesnt have the spot for the flange?

Hey guys. I'm currently using the VVV carto tank (the cheap polypro one), and it uses cartos without the flange.

Well, the place where I normally order my laser slotted cartos from is out of them, so I'm currently trying different cartos. My question is, can I use flanged cartos on a tank that doesn't specifically have the place for the flange?

Yes you can. I do it all the time. The only thing is that you will have a little space the same thckness of the flange between your tank and your Mod.

I actually prefer the flange. I use a provari and an IBTanked carto set up and that "little space" give me all the airflow that I enjoy without having to buy a 40 dollar hippo or the like....

It shouldn't matter much, but Boge and Smoktech place their holes to work in Their own tanks. There is always the risk with a custom tank that the holes may be higher than you prefer, or worse, the airholes are too low and covered by the lower endcap.

Can't look at your tank cause VVV is closed now (sad), but most they had didn't look like the cap intruded into the tank far, unlike some of the first tanks have.
