I like to vape indoors, usually in my lobby or at the diner. But I am starting to receive crap for it in both places. Do I comply or can I say its not banned indoors yet?

I try to be discrete about it if I can. If I am in a place with a large amount of people, I will usually excuse myself to the restroom. The vapor doesn't rise so no one even notices.
If I feel comfortable with asking someone I will, but to avoid hassle I prefer to ninja vape where possible.

You can vape anywhere, just cover the light, hold the vapor in, and don't let anyone catch you.
You can openly vape anywhere that will allow you to do so, and you can't get in trouble if you do. You can, however, get in trouble for disregarding the rules of an establishment. So if they ask you to stop, you should probably stop to avoid risk of being kicked out or banned from said establishment.

it's not your right to vape anywhere. if someone of authority in any establishment asks you not to, and you do not comply, they can force you to leave.

personally ive been asked to stop only like 5 times, and the reason was always the same, and made alot of sense, granted it was always in bars the manager/person in charge walks up and asks me to go outside to vape, they explain their understanding that its not harmful but do not wish for someone to see the vapor and think its ok to smoke inside. other than that alot of places are actually ok with it, one manager told me he liked it because if people saw they could vape inside they may turn the way of e-cigs and then he wouldn't have to deal with so many cigarette butts, and his patrons having smokers cough at the bar.
