Well he enjoys my vape but his other hobby is licking his .... so I wouldn't put too much stock in his opinion.

Quote of the Year nominee!!!

My dog does not seem to mind my vaping. He doesn't lick his .... very often but, he seems to enjoy eating crap left behind by neighborhood pets.

Many years ago when I had an apartment, I would smoke in the spare room I had setup as an office. Since this was an apartment, I would open the window and setup a fan between me and the window blowing out. My cat would jump up into the window every time I lit up to get as much smoke as possible. I had to start locking her out of the room to keep her from doing that. I quit smoking indoors when I got my house.

Now that I am vaping none of my 3 cats seem to care one way or the other.

On a related note, one of them likes to roll around in anything with a strong scent. Especially Clorox Cleanup, and Pine scented floor cleaners. We have to lock her up just to clean the house to keep her out of the cleaners. I guess she thinks they are fur-fresheners.

The Cat (aka TC) has voiced no opinion on my vaping. My diet Dr. Pepper, on the other hand, he's quite interested in. He seems to like the smell of it. Then again, he's a pretty strange fella. I use a shampoo called Purt. TC thinks it's called purr. Soon as I sit down in the recliner after a shower, there he is up on the arm. He wants to rub my hair with his face. A lot. If I refuse to play along with this little game, he gets on the back to better his proximity to his target. It's like cat nip almost. As you can see by now, he's totally nuts. And I'm glad he ignores the vapes.

This is a great thread! :)

I've been vaping inside for quite a while now, and have three parakeets in a cage right next to me. We have 4 dogs, 2 cats and a guinea pig in here also, and not one of our pets has been adversely affected by my vaping. It's funny that someone else mentioned their horse liking their vapor because all the horses at our stables (16 horses!) will come over to sniff my vapor and they LOVE Halo's Kringle's Kurse (it's gotta be the peppermint!).

I vape indoors and have birds. So far they are perfectly healthy, perhaps healthier since I switched because I also used to smoke indoors too.

Cats though have problems with PG and probably would die from drinking juice...I don't know that you are vaping enough for it to be a respiratory issue for them. I'm going to assume you're not using a fog machine for vaping.

Here ya go. If you're too busy to follow the link, it describes a legit 1947 (!) study in which monkey's and rats were exposed to a HEAVY fog of PG 24/7 for an extended period of time. Absolutely no ill effects at all.

My dog lifts her nose high to taste my morning vape, eyes closed and deeply absorbed. She appears to be in quiet ecstasy. :)

Thank you guys for sharing your experiences and your input on the matter. I've read the links you provided and I feel even more assured my cats are OK now. As I said before I'm not going to let my cats drink the juice and I keep it in a kitchen cabinet that has child proof lock and on top of that the containers have child proof lids. The other people who accused me of killing my fur babies slowly though isn't convinced, guess I'll just have to live with the cat forum people believing I'm an evil person.

I vape indoors but I tend to limit it to my mancave type area...more just because I'll bake the hell out of the room and my wife .....es about some of the "odors" coming from certain juices I use. My dog actually seems to like the smells but this is coming from an animal who begs to lick your sweaty feet after a long day of work haha!

Someone on another forum suggested I was a terrible person for vaping indoors when I have cats, I was stunned by this as I haven't read any studies proving second-hand vaping is dangerous or an issue at all. I love my cats more than anything and would never do anything that would harm them and it's not like I'm a bad influence on them and they might pick up a vaping habit anytime soon... ;)

You guys with pets, do you vape indoors? Have you ever had to defend that decision to anyone?

My cat vapes midnite apple.

I have pet rats and vape indoors, even in my small apartment during the school year and have yet to see any ill effects on them. If the vapour cloud gets too big I open a window lol. I would do it outside or for that matter maybe even stop if evidence showed it was very harmful.

You must be vaping big time too have clouds.

My cat is a bit allergic to the PV. When I started I was doing 50/50 and kitty started to get skin itches and pulling her fur out. I did switch down to 20/80 and 100 vg and it seemed to go away. Now I will never know for sure if that was the problem, but it is something to think about if need be. I would figure that it is much better than the smoke she has endured all some years. May be she was having nic withdrawel too!
