Can others smell your vapor flavor?

I had surgery a while back and smuggled my ego in with my personal effects. It was just a short bit after I woke up, I was in the bathroom vaping away and the nurse knocked. Since I use the ego and 100% VG, I get a ton of vapor and the bathroom was a bit fogged in so I had to delay a bit. But when I came out she didn't act like she she picked up on the event at all. I'm sure that would have no gone well if she thought i was smoking in there. LOL.

I overheard my daughter explain to her friend over the phone about ecigs. "Mom doesn't smoke anymore... she vapes... it doesn't stink like smoking... it smells really good. Vaping is great!"

My husband often asks me what flavor I'm vaping and comments that it smells nice. Recently, he was disappointed when he asked what I was baking and I told him he must be smelling my TV Banana Nut Bread. I think I'll bake something nice for the family and it will come as a complete surprise because they'll think the aroma is vapor as usual.

It's become a (bad) habit of mine to blow vapor right into my fiance's face and ask "What's it smell like?" Usually the response is pretty close to what the flavor is named. Last week i was vaping Orange Juliusin the truck and my guy said that it smelled like a urinal cake, backed up by my brother sitting in the back seat he agreed with a scrunched up face. Now, I being female, have never smelt a urinal cake before but the smell to me was orangy and creamy, didn't smell chemically or .... gross. Tho that's one i'll save for when i'm alone he really likes the smell of cinnamon apple or apple cider vapor.

Oh! my sides are hurting from laughing... that is funny... If you haven't smelled a urinal cake..consider yourself lucky... guess that is one of those flavors that taste better than it smells..I hope anyway..

Well my Airedale (dog) who has the best sniffer around doesn't leave the room when I vape. When I revert to analogs (which are Cherry or Vanilla cigars) he's out of the room. Actually when the spoiled guy sniffs around when I'm vaping the Dr Pepper he acts if I have some good food that I'm not sharing with him (told you he was spoiled. Old white woman with dog syndrome).

Yesterday, I was vaping Hopscotch at work, and I heard the following comments over the cube wall:

"What is that yummy smell? It's like cotton candy!" and (the same guy who commented on the French Toast before) "Ok, now someone has some cookies somewhere!" The lady he was talking to said, "It smells like a candle!"

Today, I am going to vape green apple. lol

Nobody but my boyfriend has mentioned a smell to me, and he says he LOVES it. When we're riding in the car together, I take a couple of little puffs without inhaling to get the scent into the air, just because I love how much he enjoys smelling it (as opposed to the smelly analogs that I used to have to hold out the window).

My wife has a tobacco juice that I can smell from like 20 feet away.. Its better than smoke, but holy moly, that stuff is potent.. My fav, watermelon, is actually pretty tame.. Usually you cant smell it unless you are within a few feet of me, and it fades quickly.. I would say its like the smell radius of someone putting a fresh stick of gum in their mouth.

So I got my first e-cig yesterday, ad decided to operate under the "better to ask forgiveness than permission" principle.

In the mediator's office, I grabbed a puff in the bathroom. Came out and shortly thereafter the mediator met with us and said, "Someone's been eating an orange! It smells good!" I was vaping menthol. Curious, I did an experiment later. Ducked out for a bathroom break, puff, back in. "There's that smell again!" The bathroom is down the hall, far away from where we were meeting. So it's definitely detectable lingering on you, but in a generally inoffensive way.

Then back home, I sat and vaped in my office/bedroom the rest of the day and in the family room at night. In other words, not in front of the ex or the kids, but not sneaking off and hiding either. Haven't heard a peep about odors yet.

Oh, the back story is that my ex and I have been "seperated" but still living in the same house for a quite a while because of this horrible housing market right now. So if there was an issue, believe me I'd hear about it.

My bro can, or claims to be able too, just says it stinks and doesn't really elaborate ( he's a rabid anti-smoker tho that only smokes when he drinks lol), other than that none of the other ppl I've vaped around ever mentioned anything, mostly vape dekang USA mix or gold and silver.
