Can tanks affect taste and throat hit?

@Syakster There could be a couple of things in play here. Kayfun tanks tends to use higher resistance coils. In your Subtank, are you using the 1.2 ohm coil or the 0.5 ohm? Subohm coils produce more vapor therefore the effect of the nicotine will be higher.

As for the TC mod, in my perception, TC mods tend to hit a lot smoother since the TC mod will limit the power to maintain a set temperature. I have found that just because you're using TC, that does not necessarily reduce the throat hit from the nicotine. You mentioned that 3 mg juice isn't available where you are. How about 0 mg juice? If you have 0 mg available, you can simply mix it half and half with the 6 mg and that will get you 3 mg.

I actually have one of those in my box-o-fasttech stuff. By the time I got it I'd long since stopped using my kayfun3.1

Oh, just remembered; biggest reason I haven't tried using it is i still got to open up the airflow on that base.
I think I've seen kayfun monster bases; I best look that up.

I don't generally recommend a kayfun, but one of the advantages of the kayfun is there are many options/parts you can get for them

0mg are probably even harder to come by. I think it's a standard practice for vendors to only order 6mg juices, and a bit of 12mgs. Reason being that our local juices comes in 6mg, but with ZERO throat hit. It's so weird. I heard it could be that our local juices use diluted nicotine, which I'm not sure makes sense. I can vape 6mg local juices with no problems, but I don't enjoy the flavours much at all because they use a lot of artificial ingredients so you'll get this strong sense of perfume in your throat after half a day of vaping. All the imported US juices however, I just love their flavour but the 6mg is just killing me. So I'm just itching to find a solution that will let my throat vape 6mg juices in peace, just like how I was able to do with the guy's Kayfun and temp control mod. I think the mod was called "the flask mod".

I don'y know about your local conditions, but if you are ordering US juices online, they all sell 0mg versions. There are several manufacturers who ship internationally.

I second @suprtrkr recommendation. See if you can find a vendor in the US that will ship the juice to your country.

Another thing you could try would be to buy some plain VG (glycerin) and mix a little in with your 6 mg juice. Maybe that might help to tone down the bite without sacrificing the flavor too much.

You could try a higher resistance build, but that will also mean that you have to vape at a lower wattage to compensate for the higher resistance, which will also mean that your vapor production will go down and possibly the flavor as well.

Perhaps you can also try a different tank like the Atlantis? In my experience, the Subtank seems to hit harder than the Atlantis does. The Atlantis vapes much smoother for me.
