Just got my KGO yesterday and Ohhhh I'm loving it!!! LOVING, LOVING, LOVING IT!!!
It's miles ahead of my little blu.

Anyway, I was just wondering; my little blu's booklet said it is safe to leave it on the charger for extended periods of time without doing the battery any harm or building up a memory. IS THIS TRUE WITH MY KGO BATTERY AS WELL???

LOL, I have my two red batts that came with kit, also one blue, and just ordered a pink. Hummm, me thinks I need the green as well. If only they came in peppermint stripped and/or diamond dusted.

Glad to hear you're lovin' it. It's a sturdy workhorse isn't it? All battery chargers have a chip inside them to cut the charge off when the battery is full charged. There is the very, very rare chance that this chip fails and the battery becomes overcharged and melts or explodes. The chances of this happening are a zillion to one. These batteries do not have a memory so you can charge them any time. In my research they state it's best to recharge when the batt is at about 75% discharge- they'll last longer.

Edit: I NEVER leave my batts charging unattended.

LOL some friends have either painted theirs or had them customized- engraving + paint.
Happy vaping.
P.S. Now you see why some of us strongly recommend the Kgo

Ohhh yes, I certainly do! I'm so glad I found this forum and you wonderful, helpful, people!!!

Good to hear I can charge, and not worry about ruining my batteries. With 4 batts I'm always going to be good to go.

I went to the shooting range today with my new KGO, and it was fully charged. As a noob, the one thing I didn't think to take with me was a little bottle of juice to top it off. I ran dry [waaaaaa:cry:] before I got back home. Well, that's how we learn, huh?

Cool. After a few weeks you could look into either a carto + tank or a Clearomizer. Usually just fill it once a day and you're good to go. Quite pricy but really cool tanks Phiniac Rugged Pyrex Glass Tanks

VAPOR EYES, ur the BEST! I will be buying those next month (I think hubby is a little flabbergasted at how much I've spent in two weeks, LOL). He's an X smoker of 5 years. So, he has not need or desire to vape. He does encourage me to vape, however, and likes the smell. Thanks again

Glad to hear hubby is supporting you. Yeah my wife also LOVES the fact I'm vaping and could care less how much I spend. For the time being if you have any of those small plastic breath mint containers just fill up some cartos, put the condoms on and store them in the container when you go out= perfect fit. In the beginning it is expensive but once you have your basics it's all good. I always wait for sales and buy in bulk from overseas. No pressure but one day you may want to DIY your juice= very inexpensive and very easy with the free calculators.

Edit: Went out to the car and it's a Tic Tacs Container.

Tic Tac container. Okay, got will get a couple.
Good that we have supporting spouses, Vapoor. Your wife doesn't vape?

Funny how everyone is improvising with unrelated products; I'm thinking this is fun to figure out what can substitute for what. I guess it's because the vaping industry is relatively new, so we have to made things work for what is not available otherwise. I did see where one member used a plastic bullet storage container for his carts, so while I was at the gun range I picked one up. I plan to "label" certain slots to keep my filled cartos in order; otherwise I don't know what the heck I'm picking up to vape, LOL. The only thing is I did not find one tall enough to "close" the lip over my cartos.

The tackle boxes for all the vaping gear is a neat idea. Gotta get one of those soon. My poor table is overflowing already.

I clicked on your hyperlink, Vapoor, and have already drooled over some of the tanks. I especially like the sandblasted "dragon" since it reminds me of Deathwing in World of Warcraft. Next month it's mine! LOL

Now, point me in the right direction to learn how to use a tank, and a clearomizer. The tank fits over the clearomizer? It doesn't flood the thing out??? I'm not picturing in my mind. I may go check You Tube and see if GrimmGreen or someone has a video showing it. I'm a "visual" kinda person.

Wow, it's been neat to vape ALL BLOODY DAY on a single battery. Love my KGO (the blu goes to a friend).

It doesn't happen often but when it does happen it can have pretty catastrophic results. This is true with any battery left on any charger. You should never really leave a battery on a charger unattended.

Some suppliers sell bags or you can probably get them on amazon or from a battery manuf.

Not trying to scare you but there's a pretty inexpensive fix. Better to be safe than sorry. I did it myself until I read about it here.

LOL I love to see enthusiasm and it warms my heart.

One holds about 5 cartos- enough to get you around for a while I would imagine.

Yes I've seen that before.
Here's LOTS (maybe too much) of info re: storage

Myself for home I found some antique wooden breadboxes and for the cottage I have a $2.00 plastic container with handle.

LOLLLLL there she goes

My advice would be to first get the hang of the Kgo and then start looking for either a clearomizer or a tank/ carto.
Tank/ Carto- a carto with a hole fits inside a tank. The tank is filled with juice and the juice flows into the cartomizer which vaporizes the juice. The only part that needs to be changed is the cartomizer- mine begins to get tight at about 2 weeks usage. I fill it about twice per day. No leaks and when I lay the PV down overnite no leaks.
Clearomizer is a clear "tank" with the element and wick inside- no filler as is in the cartomizer. The only downfall is they need to be maintained/ cleaned. Some are prone to leaking. It's a long story but I researched them but do not use them. "Some" are prone to cracking with certain juices but new ones are coming out that are more durable.

I'm so glad you're having fun. It's the way vaping should be IMO and now you're already converting???
Have a great weekend.

There's been several who had their eGo batt go thermal and one left a dent in a metal cabinet door as the battery built up pressure and popped. The description resembled a bottle rocket on steroids.

We are all a little concerned about any lithium battery being charged without a human present and monitoring the activity. Maybe someone will come up with a common denominator for preventing it from happening.

So far, the suggestions are don't leave one on charge when you can't be around to monitor. Don't charge a hot battery that just went dead on your ecig ... let it have a cool down period of 15 minutes or so regardless of whether it feels hot or not. Hold you ecig away from your face on the first button press. Some batteries ( not eGo or Kgo) have failed catastrophically right after being taken off the charger and installed in an ecig.

By far, most of the reported failures have been in stacked mods, those that use two batteries that are in series. That is usually caused by one battery being charged at a higher level than the other. It's a good idea to check the voltages on both right out of the charger to make sure they are equal or close. What happens is that the batteries try to equalize in voltage and one feeds the other way too fast. The result heat created by doing that causes internal pressures that result in an explosion.

it's not something to be scared off, just careful in the charging process. I pull my 18650s off the charger even if I just walk outside for a minute. I never charge while I'm sleeping and never leave the house with a battery charging.

The charging bag is a good idea, although I haven't bought one yet. I need to.

I used to all the time. And I had chargers in every room in the house going. Never thought twice about it. Then I read about someone that had an issue here. Now I'm a little more careful after reading about someone's chair and curtains catching on fire. Someone mentioned they put their charger in a baking pan. Don't know if that helps or not.

The only issue I ever had with a battery was right before it died, I couldn't get it 'off'. I managed to get the carto off and threw it outside. It was OK though. I guess it's probably best to toss batteries when they're on their last leg.

Yes I agree. I've got some batts that are 9 months old and decided to dispose of them cuz they were starting to look kind of ratty and I figured if they look ratty then maybe not safe to use. Better safe than sorry.

How timely. Placed my batt into charger today and it charged and charged and charged. Finally took it off charger, tested it and it was full charge. Placed it in my spare charger and again it indicated full charge. So I would imagine the chip has failed as previously discussed. Charger is a TR-001. Now if anyone says, as I previously stated, "it a very rare occurrence" it actually happened to me in my home. Spare charger is Xtar WP2 II Li-Ion Charger.

I don't get it. Just sounds like a charged battery... Did it not work or something?

In the old charger the batt continued to charge (red light) while in my new charger, the charger indicator light went green meaning the batt was fully charged. All I can guess it the "shut- off" chip in the old charger failed and the charger was continuing to overcharge the battery- not good as the batt could either explode or melt.
