Can you recommend a tank that has long lasting coils using eleaf iStick40 TC Mod?

Maybe, I only ordered them from one place so far. I did see there is a scratch off where I could confirm if they are legit, but I see no point. If someone can remanufacture coils, how hard would it be print a few numbers on a package and cover it with gray scratch off material. All they would need is a dozen real code numbers or so and deduce the algorythm behind the code...

On that note, I am willing to try one more time. Those who are using the nautilus mini and have no issues with your coils, please tell me the place you bought them and I will try the same :)

I've bought Nautilus Mini coils from Vapeshop.com many times and they have always been good.

Aspire Nautilus BVC Cotton Coils (Pack of 5)

My favorite place to buy the Nautilus coils is ecig.com because their price is incredible.

I buy by price mostly from the suppliers here. It's probably more where Not to go. Mostly some ebay and other country suppliers come to mind.

Are the coils losing flavor or tasting burnt?

Both, about a solid day of amazing flavor, then it fades over the next 2 or 3 days, until finally it is tasteless. Since I paid so much for the coils, I continue to go on like that until its burnt, which is a day or two later (at best). Sometimes two or three days and goes straight to a burnt taste.

Excellent! Thank you. I actually had the same link to the ecig site pinned in chrome. Its a nice price, but with shipping, it would be identical to the vapeshop. I might as well combine shipping on them with the vapeshop. Checking out now :)

Cool! That makes good sense!

If you are interested in another vendor for juice in the future, you can't do better than Ahlusion's custom line. I love many of their juices, but for me, Mango Lassi, Moonlight Serenade, Lychee Coconut Smoothie and Calypso are the best.

Custom

I am happy to answer any questions you have about the Mega Tank and the CLR coils, but if you want to hear many posters experiences with them, you should join us on the CLR thread here. It's a very friendly & helpful thread.

I like the Kanger Subtank Mini. It comes with two coils--one 0.5 ohm, the other 1.2. These are holding up well after about two tankfuls each of liquid with 30/70 VG/PG.

I vape them both at 20 to 27 watts depending on flavor.

I also prefer drop-in coils because of physical limitations in manipulating very small objects and the ease of use. I've bought replacement coils but haven't needed (yet) to chuck the factory builds. I just boil'em for 20 minutes, let'em cool and right back to work they go.

My time and effort are NOT free, so I buy replacement coils rather than rebuild. But the Subtank Mini also comes with a rebuildable atomizer deck, letting the owner experiment with rolling his/her own if desired.

Got it in the mail yesterday :) The flavor is really great and the tank easy itself to fill up/figure out. I noticed the coils that come with it, the cotton is very much visible and looks very easy to replace myself. It is inviting, so to speak. I think I will be purchasing some Japanese organic cotton next chance I get.

I primed the coil, as best I could, but I'm still getting clicks and pops, any advice? Is it normal?

Hopefully the coil will last as long as a week. Just a week and I'll be satisfied, if longer, that would be awesome, but for now, retaining flavor after a few days is the main thing.

I went with Justwondering's suggestion of the Ego One tank that was also recommended by someone else in the next reply. It's really good so far, but too early to tell if the coils will last longer than the nautilus mini's. I just need to be sure I really prime it well next time. They were some loud crackles at first which gave me a bit of a jolt, lol.

The flavor is very good so far. It's still a bit too early to tell how it will hold up against the nautilus though as far as coil duration. The good thing with the ego, though, is I have the option to replace the cotton if I so choose, reducing coil costs. With this, hopefully I can keep daily expenses down to under 2 dollars a day, which is much better than 7 with analogs.

Thanks Skold!

Here is an open question, where do you guys buy organic Japanese cotton from?
I actually get my cotton off eBay & always been fine but my my mate has started working at my local so get it for free :)
I've always bought Kanthal wire off eBay too but I just rewick now and buy pre built coils.

Would I have to change the wire too each time, or can it be used more that once? Also, I saw some guy on youtube burning off the fiber glass or something on the coil, is that necessary? I mean, I don't have a bunson burner or anything..
I find coils & the wire last a while. The rewicking I find it to be more often.
I can't say I've ever done that, the CLR is very easy to build btw but is actually one of my favourite MTL vapes.
It is cheap & performs well.
I bought a coil master kit too, you get pliers, screwdrivers, some wire, even an ohm reader. Everything you need to build in a carry case.
You will find CLR building on youtube but if you I can do it you can!
I keep my builds very simple, no exotic builds or anything.
