Has now declared a nation-wide service suspension. How fantastic!

My DOA RevoV2 was replaced and arrived in Mississauga last Friday evening.

With a Monday delivery date that it failed to deliver on, and due to the GTA strike I have yet to get this thing lol...

    I'm cursed, and now it's a nation-wide event...

In all fairness, heXy...this is the doing of Canada Post - the corporation. At every turn they have been total asses towards the union & decent workers, who have bent over backwards to be reasonable & also show consideration towards the needs of Canadians.

Canada Post is the one who has refused every offer for more than 7 months. Canada Post is the one who, after 15 years in a row of profitability (almost $300 million last year in pure profits) and 14 years without a national strike...decided to make working conditions for the average worker more difficult & less efficient. Canada Post is the one that suddenly, callously cut 100% of the drug & dental coverage for all its workers, just because they exercised their legal right to strike (and limited, rolling strikes at that). Canada Post is the one that has refused every reasonable opportunity to reach an agreement.

And now...insanely, g-d Canada Post is the one that has decided "no more mail service!" This was not the union's decision - the workers did not make this choice. No...Canada Post itself has decided to lock them all out, and escalate the situation into a harmful, detrimental situation that screws everyone.

Canada Post locks out workers - Canada - CBC News

Support the union - call your MP and demand that Canada Post be forced to agree to binding arbitration!!!

I was talking about the Corporation. And I was venting my frustrations with a device I have waited over 2 weeks for to try.

I'm not mad at the workers and the way they chose to handle the situation at all. But the lock-out is uncalled for IMO, and after all; I am a customer...

Edit: Personally, I feel the government should step in on this. Last I checked, stealing mail was a FEDERAL crime, meaning, it's Federally regulated. Step up feds, do what we pay you to do.

    Yes, it is...

I really liked the way the workers were handling it, I can deal with a delay... But a lock-out is horrible for so many reasons. All because the big-shots want to save their cash. They come up with a proposal that is barely related to the issues at hand, then when it's rejected; they stomp their feet like little children and call it quits!

The government should order the workers to return to rotating strikes and let the big-shots sweat a little..

No, seriously. Guess who has a package sitting in the city, loaded with juice and equipment.
I'll go to Russell Peters on this: Someone's gonna get a hurt real bad....

With this in mind, anyone know of any companies that *aren't* using Canada Post to ship?

Happy Vaper and Maple Leaf Vapes come to mind. I'm sure other companies would throw a package on the Greyhound bus for you if you asked them nicely; they can send it without paying fees up front; you pay shipping fees when you pick up your package. Cost me about $20 to send a package the size of a box of cereal to Dawson Creek from Vancouver, and it arrived in 2 days. Got a roll of construction blueprints recently, was about $24 for shipping.

There's no tracking but other than that it's a pretty decent way of shipping.

Love that Russell Peters sketch, call child protective services!! But seriously, no more mail? Not even 72 hours notice? Should I put my BWB order in anyways, maybe the strike will be over by the time they get through customs, lol.

Many of the Canadian vendors have listed alternate shipping methods during the strike. Visit the Canadian suppliers forum and read the posts from different suppliers to get details.
