So I've decided to get me and my g/f to try ecigs to see if we can curb some spending and get off of the analogs. I found this deal and was wondering if it's good, or if I am better off with something else or importing the ecigs themselves.

  • Amazing product produces a warm vapor with lots of flavor and throat hit
    • 2 kr808d-1 starter kits (black)
    • 2 x Auto batteries (78Mm) 280 mah
    • 2 x Manual batteries (78Mm) 280 mah
    • 12 x Black Bottom Coil Style Cartomizers
    • 2 x USB Charger
    • 2 x USB Wall Plug
    • 5 x 10 ml bottles of ejuice

Ejuice flavors will be a mix of tobacco and sweet .
If you would like to pick your flavors just email us.
    $134.99 CDN + tax.

Should I pull the trigger on this or are there better deals?

Nope...wayyyyyy too expensive for what it is.

For less you can get (those batts can last you a full working day and a bit more):

https://www.canvape.com/product-p/ultwistkit.htm which has a few thing to try and maybe find what you like

-or-

Similar stuff offered in your initial find:

https://www.canvape.com/product-p/tryout.htm

Explore that site! (5% additional rebate for new customers too!,check website entry page carefully!)

Hmmm that Ego-c does seem like a much better deal. How is it for portability? We need to be able to carry them around with us so we have no excuse to go back to the analogs.

I assume I want to add 2 more batteries to that, anything else I should add to make sure I have everything I need in case something goes wrong?

Sorry I am a complete ecig noob and the more I look into it the more confused I get.

I would really consider the 1st linked kit, adding the $15 to go with the 1000mah option you would be golden for a while (and mopar backs his stuff in case anything happens, freakin fast shipping too) the "twist are variable voltage for a pure vaping pleasure..if not sure right now,go with the small stuff and upgrade later if money not a problem :)

You can also send a message trough the website, they will reply fast to any questions you have

2 Egos should be enough.
I carry 3 or four with me every day only because I like to have a selection of flavours with me.
Keep in mind that the 808 batteries are 280 mAh so even the smaller 650mAh Egos are more then twice the capacity.
If size is a consideration, stick with the 650mAh Ego. One of those with a Stardust on top is just a tiny bit over 6 inch.

I'd also go for the kit from Canvape. With the variable volt twist batteries, you'll have a much better chance at getting off the cigarettes. You also get a variety of different tanks to use, so again a better chance at liking one of them. All the stuff in the kit is easy to fill & use.

You may want to add a few more flavors of juice, you will likely be surprised on what you do/don't like.

BTW, Welcome to the forum Kagey K

Thanks for the welcome.

Yeah I'm going to bite on that Canvape offer. The reason I was leaning towards the KR8 or the 510 were from reading the info page on this site. After looking into what that deal comes with I can't pass it up, and if I need something more discreet I'll go with the Kr8 later likely the one on Canvapes as well.

I do plan on picking up some more juice but I need something with a little more go. *Wink wink* and Canvapes doesn't seem to offer them. Anyone with a recommendation for a good vendor with the "go" in it feel free to PM me. I've been looking at the ones on the list and not sure which I want to try first. What is the preffered pg/vg ratio? I know it's a preference, thing but I want good flavor with a decent fulfilling exhale of vapor. On the vendors that only offer PG base or VG base which do you recommend?

Thanks for all the help so far. 1st day on and already feel very welcome. Hoping to order in the morning just want to sleep on it tonight.

I got that ego c twist kit from canvape as well. Great kit. I also got some of the ego mini 400mah batteries if I didn't feel like carrying around the big (1000mah) twist.

Might I suggest chocomint from canvape? I liked it the best out of the 6 samples I got. It is the only one I could vape all day, and a few others were insanely harsh.

Chocomint was the 1st on my list as it's one of my fav combos... coffee, ice cream, after eight, all delicious. Strawberry for my g/f and the DuMaurier clone as that's what we smoke now, and no I do not expect it to taste like the analogs I smoke now. I do realize there will be a difference.

Thanks again for the help so far guys. Kind of getting excited to order tomorrow. My g/f doesn't know about it yet but I hope that she tries it with an open mind and enjoys it over these disgusting smokes we kill ourselves with now.

What is the battery difference between the 650 and 1000? How much extra life do you get out of it? I'm reading some people on this forum saying they feel like they are vaping a bazooka and I'm a little concerned about looking like The Penguin or Cruella Deville vaping out of this thing if it's that long.

Well, it will last 1.53.. times longer. Time wise, it's hard to say. Twists are pretty long, but its worth it, probably the best thing you can get as a beginner.

I don't really like the fact that you are getting 2 batteries for 2 people. Whether you get more batteries or not, make sure you get at least one more charger.

Agree! I'm just 4 days in and I've already got two more batteries and an extra charger. I had to use hub's rig while mine was charging this morning, and you know...boy cooties. *ptui*

From my second post in this thread.....

"I assume I want to add 2 more batteries to that, anything else I should add to make sure I have everything I need in case something goes wrong?"

It comes with 2 chargers right now doesn't it? A USB and a wall charger? Or is that just 1 charger? I'm thinking I'll pay the 15 for the upgrade to 1000 and then buy 2 6500's and that way if the 1000 is to unwieldy for me to carry around it can be my home device.

I don't want any excuses as to why I would need to go buy a pack of analogs once this arrives.

That is just one charger. One piece is a usb wall dongle, and one is the actual ecig charger, which connects to usb. If you have other dongles, or can hook it up to your computer over night, you will just need another ego charger. If not, you would need both.

The 650s would be great, its a big investment, but i think its worth it. You don't want to get stuck with dead batteries and no backup.

Absolutely, we both smoke a pack a day and not having a backup is a recipe for disaster.

I didn't realize it was only one I thought it was a wall charger and a USB, so one could charge on an outlet while the other charged off of an Ipad or Phone charger and we drew from the other 2. I guess I should have looked closer at it. I would like to have 1 each always charging while we each use our other one.

I don't really know what all the other pieces in the kit are. This is going to be like putting Ikea furniture together when we get it. Do we have backup atomizers if one fails or do I need extras of those also?

You might have to look it up, but for the most part it's pretty easy stuff to use. That kit has pretty much every good clearomizer, and the vision extreme.

When you fill the tanks, don't pour juice in the center tube, it will go right through. On the vivi nova's and kanger t2, make sure the heads are screwed on tight, and fill it to just under the wicks. On the t3, you screw off the bottom, and fill it till before it goes into the center tube. The vision extreme... i think you need a syringe to fill that thing.

You will eventually need to get more heads, or different stuff, but that kit has enough for now. I think you will be getting 4 vivi heads, 2 t2 heads, and the t3 and the vision extreme.

Yeah from what I've read across the board it's a good setup. I just hope it has a good instruction manual or is fairly simple to understand once you see the parts in front of you. I just want to make sure I'm covered because old habits die hard and it's to easy to run to the store and buy a pack if I don't have something else there. I'm sure theres lots of youtube vids covering it if I do get too terribly confused come assembly time.
