Hahahahah no worries. I've heard it before. Charlie and Meika were mine and my BF had Tiger, then about 4 months ago our neighbour had a cat get pregnant and have kittens (which happened again, she has a dozen cats other there now!) so we got lil Boots. We are the Crazy Cat Couple :D Once we own a house we want doggies too

Oh no!!! I didn't see that part! What happened?

Anyone who has a dog should look up this illness - not that it is common but it can happen no matter what. He went blind from an illness called SARDS (sudden acquired retinal degeneration syndrome). No eye specialist or vet could give me an answer why this happened. It just happened. It literally caused my boy to go blind overnight. He started acting a bit off for a couple of weeks beforehand. December 24th, 2010 I left for work in the morning and everything was as usual with him but by the time I got home from work and went to give him his "cookie" he couldn't see anymore. Totally 100% blind just like that. Its heartbreaking, frustrating, life altering (everyday things take on a different meaning now), but glad to say he's been ok with his condition since last summer. It still sucks that he lost that playfulness he once had.

:( :( :(

I'm so sorry to hear that, but thankful that he has a wonderful owner that learned to adapt - unfortunately we know all too well that a lot of cowards would've taken different "measures"..

I can only imagine how hard it must have been in the beginning, but a dog's sight is their secondary sense after smell.

I don't think you mentioned it, how old is he?

Chaseman the thread moved too fast I missed your eGo size terrier  I best not show this to the wife, she's been obsessing over the idea of having a toy dog as a playmate for our dog...

Paris is the size of an eGo 650mAh battery.

To answer your question phil my boy just turned 9 this past October. And to answer another question you had - yes its a zoo in here but reptiles are pretty happy being left alone for quite a while. I do a daily enclosure check for poop cleaning, giving a fresh bowl of water and a daily head boop to each of them.....except Gia the hog island boa - last time I did that she bit me....so she doesn't get booped anymore. They get an average of once a week out of their enclosure each for a half hour or hour...sometimes longer.

Chaseman I have to say when I saw your pup I almost cried because I knew of a yorkie who just recently passed. Then I saw the name and did cry because that's what his name was. I am truly touched by it all - almost seemed like a sign to me in a way that things are ok.
